Dhungesaghu is a town and a former village development committee in Taplejung District in the Province No. 1 (previously Mechi Zone of Eastern Development Region) of north-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 3,748 people living in 746 individual households. [1] There were 1,734 males and 2,014 females at the time of census. The VDC was dissolved and merged with Phakumba, Sanghu VDCs to form Maiwakhola Rural Municipality.

Phidim Municipality is the headquarters of the Panchthar District in the Province No. 1 of eastern Nepal. Phidim was upgraded to a 'municipality' from a 'village', when a development committee merged with other VDCs - including the Phidim, Chokmagu and Siwa villages - on May 18, 2014. It offers a route for trekkers and locals, who travel to and from the Taplejung district bordering with the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China. It is also a commercial hub for the rural surroundings.

The local body was formed by merging four VDCs namelyKhokling, Liwang, Sanwa, Papung. Currently, it has a total of 7 wards. Pathibhara Yangwarak is a rural municipality (Gaunpalika) in Taplejung District of Province No. 1 of Nepal. Formerly the rural municipality was divided into many village development committees) located in Taplejung District in the Mechi Zone of EDR of Nepal. The local body came in existence when those VDCs: Nyangkholchyang, Thechambu, Tiringe, Dumrise, Chaksibot and Thumbedin merged after decision of MoFALD. Currently, it has a total of 6 wards. The population of the rural municipality is 13,591 according to the data collected on 2017 Nepalese local elections.

Sirijangha is a Gaupalika(Nepali: गाउँपालिका ; gaunpalika)(Formerly: village development committee) located in Taplejung District in the Mechi Zone of eastern Nepal. The local body was formed by merging eight VDCs Sinaam, Aambegudin, Sikaicha, Tellok, Pedanga, Mamankhe, Khewang, Yamphudin. Currently, it has a total of 8 wards. The population of the rural municipality is 15,806 according to the data collected on 2017 Nepalese local elections.
