Dinesh Bhramar is a Hindi and Bhojpuri poet from Bihar, India. He has been credited to introduce the Ghazal and Ruba'i in Bhojpuri literature. [1] [2]
Bhramar was born in 1939 in British India at Bagaha, a small township in undivided Champaran, Bihar.[ citation needed ] His father Pt. Gunjeshwari Pathak was a Sanskrit scholar and patron of classical arts. Bhramar graduated in Hindi literature from Patna University in 1961.[ citation needed ]
Bhramar taught Hindi Literature at M.J.K College, Bettiah as a lecturer (1961-1962) and later at Tata Workers College, Jamshedpur as a reader (1962-1966).[ citation needed ]
In various Kavi sammelan, he has shared the stage with several eminent Hindi poets such as Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Ajneya, [3] Gopal Singh Nepali, Janki Ballabh Shastri, Nida Fazli, Bashir Badr and others. His poetical works were commended by Harivansh Rai Bachchan [4] and Nazir Banarsi. Some of his Hindi poetic works have been selected for 'Navgeet Saptdasak' edited by Rajendra Prasad Singh and 'Dharati Se Judkar', edited by Satyanarayan. He is not very fond of publishing books, the only exception being ‘Geet Mere Swara Tumhare’ [5] published in 1961.
Besides the poetry works, Bhramar has been associated with various literary movements and organized several series of Kavi sammelan and Mushaira and other literary and cultural events for several decades in and around Champaran district. [6]
He has been awarded the Gopal Singh Nepali Samman (2011), Bazme Adab (1999), Lok Shikar Samman (1998), Champaran Ratna (1993), and Sahitya Saurabh Samman (1972).[ citation needed ]

Bhojpuri is an Indo-Aryan language native to the Bhojpur-Purvanchal region of India and the Terai region of Nepal. It is chiefly spoken in eastern Uttar Pradesh, western Bihar and western Jharkhand in India as well as western Madhesh and eastern Lumbini in Nepal. It is an eastern Indo Aryan language and as of 2000 it is spoken by about 5% of India's population. Bhojpuri is a descendant of Magadhi Prakrit and is related to Maithili, Magahi, Bangla, Odia, Assamese, and other eastern Indo-Aryan languages.
Sachchidananda Hirananda Vatsyayan, popularly known by his pen name Agyeya, was an Indian writer, poet, novelist, literary critic, journalist, translator and revolutionary in Hindi language. He pioneered modern trends in Hindi poetry, as well as in fiction, criticism and journalism. He is regarded as the pioneer of the Prayogavaad (experimentalism) movement in modern Hindi literature.
West Champaran is an administrative district in the state of Bihar in India, located just 60 km (37 mi) west of Birgunj. It is the largest district in Bihar with an area of 5,228 km2(2,019sq mi). It is a part of Tirhut Division. The district headquarters are located in Bettiah. The district is known for its open border with Nepal. One of the major location in West Champaran is Kumar Bagh for SAIL Special Processing Unit and Bhitiharwa where Mahatma Gandhi started Satyagrah Aandolan.

Gulab Khandelwal was an Indian poet who wrote poetry in different forms such as Lyrics, Sonnets, Rubais (Quatrains), Dohas (Couplets), Odes, Elegies, Lyrical Ballads, Epics, Poetic Dramas, Ghazals, and Masnavi. He even introduced some of these forms into Hindi literature and, apart from Hindi, has also written poetry in Urdu and English. Litterateur and parliamentarian Shankar Dayal Singh was twice elected to the Parliament of India. He was one of the youngest members of the Fifth Lok Sabha, in which he represented the Chatra parliamentary constituency in Bihar. Contesting his maiden Lok Sabha election in 1971, he defeated Smt. Vijaya Raje, the wife of Sri Kamakhya Narayan Singh, Raja of Ramgarh. He was again elected to the upper house, the Rajya Sabha, in 1990 from Bihar.
Padma Sachdev was an Indian poet and novelist. She was the first modern woman poet of the Dogri language. She also wrote in Hindi. She published several poetry collections, including Meri Kavita Mere Geet, which won the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1971. She also received the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award in 2001, and the Kabir Samman for poetry for the year 2007-08 given by Government of Madhya Pradesh, Saraswati Samman for the year 2015, Sahitya Akademi Fellowship in 2019.
Ramesh Chandra Jha was an Indian poet, novelist and freedom fighter. Son of a senior gandhian and freedom fighter Lakshmi Narayan Jha, who also contributed in Indian Freedom Struggle from Bihar. His maternal grandson Sanjeev K Jha is well-known Screenwriter who is working in Indian film industry. Ramesh Chandra Jha's poems, ghazals and stories evoke patriotism and human values. Romanticism and struggle of life are also important aspects of his writing. His poetry expresses concerns of people's life struggle, their dreams and hopes.
Bhojpuri literature includes literature written in Bhojpuri language. Bhojpuri has developed over a course of 1300 years, the development of the language started in 7th century. The earliest form of Bhojpuri can be seen in the writings of Siddha Saints and Charyapada. Distinct literary traditions in Bhojpuri language date back to medieval periods when saints and bhakts of the region adapted a mixed language for their works.

He visited many foreign countries such as England, Scotland, Wales, France, Germany, Holland, Mauritius and Nepal. He was former Indian politician from Bihar born at Chausa, Bhojpur district. In 1980 he was elected to Bihar Legislative Assembly and in 1989, he was elected to Lok Sabha from Patna constituency of Bihar. He was a recipient of the civilian honor of Padma Shri (2003).
Suryakumar Pandey is an Indian poet, humorist, satirist and writer. During his literary career, Pandey has contributed to various genres of Hindi literature including Hasya Kavita, Vyangya (satire) and Bal Kavita etc... He is most recognized as a Hasya kavi and for his distinctive style and language of hasya kavita Popularly known as Pandeyji, he is also well known for his Hāsya kavita recitations at Hindi kavi sammelans both in India and globally.
The International Bhojpuri Film Award are a set of awards presented annually by Yashi Films International to honour the artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Bhojpuri film industry. Instituted in 2015, the ceremony is held in different countries around the world every year. The first year of the International Bhojpuri Film Award was commenced in 2015 at Mauritius followed by IBFA 2016 Dubai, IBFA 2017 London, IBFA 2018 Malaysia and IBFA 2019 Singapore.
Manoranjan Prasad Sinha was a Bhojpuri poet, author and professor and Principal of Rajendra College, Chapra. He is famous for his Bhojpuri poem Firangia, which he wrote in 1921 during Non-cooperation movement. He was also elected as the president of 18th Bihar Hindi Sammelan at Motihari.
Dandi Swami Vimlanand Saraswati was an Indian Bhojpuri writer and author and spiritualist. He is credited to write the first short story collection Jehal ke Sanadi in Bhojpuri. In 1954, Swami Sahajanand Saraswati Ashram was established at Charitravan, Buxar.
Sonroopa Vishal is Indian writer, poet and author, who writes in the Hindi language. The State Government of Uttar Pradesh awarded her with the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Navodit Geetkaar Award in 2015 and Jagadish Gupta Sarjana Award in 2019. Sonroopa Vishal has published three books, including Likhna Zaruri Hai (2014) and America Aur 45 Din (2018), and co-authored several books.

Pranshu Samdarshi is an Indian scholar of Buddhism. He is an assistant professor at Nalanda University, Rajgir, Bihar India. In April 2009, he was elected to a two-year term as national secretary for SPIC MACAY. In 2023, he represented the Republic of India at the Young Authors Conference of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), organized by the Government of India during its Chairmanship.
