Dieter Günter Bohlen is a German songwriter, producer, singer, and television personality. Often referred to as the "Pop-Titan" in the German-speaking press, he first achieved fame as a member of pop duo Modern Talking in the 1980s, and has since produced numerous German and international artists. He was also a judge on casting shows Deutschland sucht den Superstar and Das Supertalent, having been present on all seasons of both shows until 2021.
Deutschland sucht den Superstar is a German reality talent show. Part of the Idol franchise, it was created by British media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show Pop Idol, of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Debuting to mediocre ratings in November 2002 on the RTL network, the show has since become one of the most successful shows on German television.

He was the first non-German to do so and also the youngest ever winner of the show. Hänni's debut single, "Don't Think About Me", topped the singles charts in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. It was followed by the release of his debut album, My Name Is Luca (2012), which debuted atop the Austrian and Swiss Albums Charts and became a gold-seller in both countries. Written and produced by DSDS judge Dieter Bohlen, it was released as both his coronation song and debut single. Upon its release, it debuted at number-one on the German and Swiss Singles Charts. The song was later included on his debut album, Take Your Chance (2003).

My Name Is Luca is the debut studio album by Swiss recording artist Luca Hänni, the winner of the ninth season of Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar, the German version of American Idol. It was released by Universal Music on 18 May 2012 in German-speaking Europe. Entirely produced by DSDS judge Dieter Bohlen, the album contains two cover versions which were already performed by Hänni during the DSDS shows, including "The A Team" by Ed Sheeran and "Baby" by Justin Bieber.

"This Is My Life" is a song by German recording artist Elli Erl, the winner of the second season of the reality television talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar, broadcast in 2004. Written and produced by DSDS judge Dieter Bohlen, it served as Erl's coronation song. Released on March 22, 2004 in German-speaking Europe, it debuted at number three on the German Singles Chart and peaked at number six in Austria and number 11 in Switzerland. In total, the song sold 100,000 copies and was later included on her debut album, Shout It Out (2004).
"I Still Burn" is a song by German recording artist Tobias Regner, the winner of the third season of the reality television talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar, broadcast in 2006. It was written by Jess Cates and Peter Wright and produced by Brix Ingo Politz, and Bernd Wendlandt, marking the first time, a DSDS coronation song was not produced by judge Dieter Bohlen. Released as Regner's debut single on March 24, 2006 in German-speaking Europe, it became the biggest-selling single in two years to debut at the charts, where it reached number one in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, making him the first DSDS winner to top the charts in all three regions. "I Still Burn" was eventually certified gold by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI) and became Germany's 13th best-selling single of 2006. It was later included on Regner's debut album Straight (2006).
Davin Herbrüggen is a German singer who won the sixteenth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar. His winning song "The River" was produced by Madizin.
