Pietro Lombardi (born 9 June 1992) is a German singer and television personality. He was the winner of season 8 of Deutschland sucht den Superstar . [1] He is best known for his R&B songs and ballads.

Lombardi's parents are from Italy. He married Sarah Engels, the runner-up of his season, on 1 March 2013. [2] Their son Alessio was born in June 2015. [3] In October 2016, the couple announced their divorce. [4] Lombardi announced his relationship with Laura Rypa in September 2020. [5] After they broke up in October 2020, they officially became a couple again in June 2022. [6] Their first son together, Leano, was born in January 2023 and their second son, Amelio, was born in August 2024. [7] [8] The couple is engaged as of October 2022.

Daniel Dominik Kaiser-Küblböck was a German singer. He placed third in the television talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar in 2003. In September 2018, he went missing at sea off Canada while travelling on a cruise ship. He was declared dead on 10 March 2021. Shortly before the disappearance, Küblböck stated he wanted to assume a female identity and began using the name Lana Kaiser.

Deutschland sucht den Superstar is a German reality talent show. Part of the Idol franchise, it was created by British media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show Pop Idol, of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Debuting to mediocre ratings in November 2002 on the RTL network, the show has since become one of the most successful shows on German television.

Nina Eichinger and Volker Neumüller were removed from the panel and were replaced by Fernanda Brandão and Patrick Nuo. Marco Schreyl returned as the host. DSDS has extended participation privileges to Austria and Switzerland. Pietro Lombardi won the competition.

The sixteenth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar began on 5 January 2019 in RTL. Dieter Bohlen returned for his sixteenth series as a judge, while Oana Nechiti, Xavier Naidoo and Pietro Lombardi are the new judges. Oliver Geissen returned for his fifth series as host. The winner was the 20 years old Davin Herbrüggen.

The nineteenth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar began on 22 January 2022 on RTL. The jury consisted of Florian Silbereisen, Ilse DeLange and Toby Gad. The contract with Dieter Bohlen as a juror was not extended by RTL and after 18 seasons Bohlen was not in the jury. Marco Schreyl became the new host.
