Dowtu (Persian : دوتو‎, also Romanized as Dowtū) is a village in Tashan-e Sharqi Rural District, Tashan District, Behbahan County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its existence was noted, but its population was not reported.^[1]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Tashan-e Sharqi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Tashan District, Behbahan County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,656, in 1,992 families. The rural district has 35 villages.

Tashan District is a district (bakhsh) in Behbahan County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 13,829, in 2,855 families. The District has one city Tashan. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Tashan-e Gharbi Rural District and Tashan-e Sharqi Rural District. Ahvaz includes areas Ablesh, Kalgahzar ,Mash’had Takhan ,Chaharadehi ,Hayat Abad Majidi ,Hayat Abad Khalifeh ,Takaeidi ,Pir’abad ,Tolkohneh ,Shahruey ,Weysi ,Shah’Nazari ,Turaey ,Ahangaran ,Shah’Ghaleb ,Sarollah ,Tang Ban ,Varzdar ,Yousefi ,Shahrak Taleghani ,mouregah ,masiri, and all the Villages bajak, sarjushaeha.
