Khayiz (Persian : خاييز‎, also Romanized as Khāyīz; also known as Khāvīz)^[1] is a village in Howmeh Rural District, in the Central District of Behbahan County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 153, in 31 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Howmeh Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Behbahan County, Khuzestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 16,969, in 3,521 families. The rural district has 60 villages.

The District has two cities: Behbahan & Mansuriyeh. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Dodangeh Rural District and Howmeh Rural District.
