Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge is an American cooking competition television series hosted by Tamera Mowry-Housley. It premiered on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Freevee on December 13, 2022.
Competing in teams of two, bakers and cake artists take on a series of culinary challenges inspired by iconic Dr. Seuss stories, such as The Cat in the Hat , How the Grinch Stole Christmas , and Horton Hears a Who . Their creations are judged by pastry chefs Clarice Lam and Joshua John Russell, based on taste, creativity, and storytelling.
The first three episodes acted as qualifiers with three teams going head to head to win spots in the next round. After that the show changes to a typical format with all teams competing in every challenge and one team being eliminated every episode. Ultimately in the finale the two remaining teams competed for the $50,000 prize. [1] [2]

On March 17, 2022, it was announced that a Dr. Seuss-themed baking competition series was in development at Amazon Studios, and would also be produced by Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Super Delicious. This would be the first unscripted series based on the work of Dr. Seuss. [4] On August 16, 2022, it was announced that the series had been greenlit by Amazon, with Tamera Mowry-Housley as host, and Clarice Lam and Joshua John Russell as judges. [5] Ruth Amsel is showrunner and executive producer, and Cara Tapper, Adam Cohen, Joanna Vernetti, and Susan Brandt are also executive producers. [1]

^Note 1 : In episode 4, it was announced that the Orange Team, Chris & Alene, had withdrawn from the competition. As a result the judges were allowed to bring one team back into the game, and they selected the Purple Team, Nikki & Alejandra.

The trailer for the series was released on November 16, 2022. All eight episodes of the series premiered on Amazon Freevee and Prime Video on December 13, 2022. [6]
Tia Dashon Mowry is an American actress. She first gained recognition for her starring role as Tia Landry in the sitcom Sister, Sister (1994–1999), opposite her twin sister Tamera Mowry. The sisters then starred together in the fantasy comedy film Seventeen Again (2000) and voiced the LaBelle sisters in the animated series Detention (1999–2000). Tamera Darvette Mowry-Housley is an American actress, television personality, and former singer. She first gained fame for her teen role as Tamera Campbell on the ABC/WB sitcom Sister, Sister. She has also starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Twitches and its sequel, Twitches Too, and played Dr. Kayla Thornton on the medical drama Strong Medicine.
The Great British Bake Off is a British television baking competition, produced by Love Productions, in which a group of amateur bakers compete against each other in a series of rounds, attempting to impress two judges with their baking skills. One contestant is eliminated in each round, and the winner is selected from the contestants who reach the final. The first episode was aired on 17 August 2010, with its first four series broadcast on BBC Two, until its growing popularity led the BBC to move it to BBC One for the next three series. After its seventh series, Love Productions signed a three-year deal with Channel 4 to produce the series for the broadcaster. The Great British Bake Off has been subsequently renewed through 2024, its fifteenth series.
Tia & Tamera is an American reality television series that aired on the Style Network from August 8, 2011, until September 22, 2013. Originally titled Tia & Tamera Take 2, the series started off as a television special that aired on July 17, 2010. It was announced in February 2011 that the special was picked to series. Later, the series was changed to its current title and debuted on August 8, 2011, on the now defunct Style Network. In September 2011, Style Network renewed the show for a second season, which later premiered on June 11, 2012. Season 3 was announced on February 12, 2013, with it premiering on July 14, 2013. The third season concluded September 22, 2013, and was the last program to air on Style, which re-branded as Esquire Network the next day. Tia & Tamera began airing on E! starting October 15, 2013, along with former Style Network series Giuliana and Bill.
The first series of The Great British Bake Off first aired on BBC Two on 17 August 2010. Ten home bakers took part in a bake-off to test their baking skills as they battled to be designated the best amateur baker. Each week the programme bakers participated in three challenges in a particular discipline, with some being eliminated at the end of each episode. The rounds of the competition took place in various locations across the UK following a theme, for example, the episode on puddings took place in Bakewell, bread baking would take place near Sandwich. This first series had a voiceover by Stephen Noonan; for the subsequent series this role was taken by the on-screen presenters Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins. The competition was won by Edd Kimber.

Unlike series one, the competition was held in a single location – the grounds of Valentines Mansion, a 17th-century mansion house in Redbridge. In addition to their on-screen presenting, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins also took over the narration, which had been done by Stephen Noonan for the previous series. Series two also introduced the "star baker" award for the most impressive performer each week.
