Modern Love Chennai is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language romantic anthology television series directed by Bharathiraja, Balaji Sakthivel, Thiagarajan Kumararaja, Raju Murugan, Krishnakumar Ramakumar and Akshay Sundher. It has ensemble cast including Ritu Varma, Sri Gouri Priya, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ashok Selvan, Ramya Nambeesan, Sanjula Sarathi, Vasundhara Kashyap, Vijayalakshmi Feroz, Kishore and others. [2]

A progressive young couple, Sam (Wamiqa Gabbi) and K (PB), breaks up due to untold circumstances. Due to some misfortune, K loses his memory and Sam is to narrate all the past that happened between them. She narrates all of the events between them, and K eventually asks her what was the reason for their breakup, which Sam refuses to answer. K and Sam get into an argument that she is hiding the truth from him. Eventually, K meets up with Sam and confesses to her that he only remembers her in the accident and wants to start a new life with her. After they seemingly patch up, they dance in the rain and run home soaking. Sam closes the door almost immediately after entering their home with clothes that are bone dry, smiling at K; revealing that all the events are her mental conjunction, that imply K isn't around anymore. |

Kirubhakar Purushothaman of Indian Express gave 4 stars out of 5 and stated that " A fantastic sixer!" [17] Latha Srinivasan critic of India Today gave 3.5 stars out of five and wrote that "One of the most important aspects of Modern Love Chennai is the music of Ilaiyaraaja which elevates this series to another level. With a mix of his old and new compositions, the ace music director has shown us that there is really no one comparable to him". [18] A critic from Rediff.com appreciated film and noted that "Whistle Podu!" [19]
Khushboo Ratda of Pinkvilla wrote that "Modern Love Chennai is all about warm, cherry stories, some are quirky and puzzling. A few stories converse with your heart." [20] Logesh Balachandran of Times of india noted that "After Bharathiraja's episode, the one that really work is Thiagarajan Kumararaja's Ninaivo Oru Paravai." [21] Haricharan Pudipeddi critic of Hindustan Times wrote that "The third Indian adaptation of the Modern Love franchise is here. It has stories that are flat, but some that speak to the heart." Bharathiraja is an Indian film director and actor who works mainly in the Tamil film industry. Making his debut in 1977 with 16 Vayathinile, he is known for realistic and sensitive portrayals of rural life in his films and popularly referred to as Iyakkunar Imayam. As of 2017, he has won six National Film Awards, four Filmfare Awards South, six Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and a Nandi Award. He has also directed films in Telugu and Hindi. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri award, India's fourth-highest civilian honour, in 2004 for his contribution to the film industry. In 2005, he was conferred with the Doctor of Letters from Sathyabama University.
Balaji Sakthivel is an Indian actor and director of Tamil films. He is best known for directing the 2004 film Kaadhal.
Aaranya Kaandam is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language gangster film written and directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja in his directorial debut. It is supposedly the first neo-noir film in Tamil cinema. The plot takes place in a day in the lives of the six protagonists, played by Jackie Shroff, Ravi Krishna, Sampath Raj and debutants Yasmin Ponnappa, Guru Somasundaram and Master Vasanth. Produced by S. P. B. Charan's Capital Film Works, the musical score of the film was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by P. S. Vinod and editing handled by the duo Praveen K. L.-N. B. Srikanth.

Ritu Varma is an Indian actress who works in Telugu and Tamil films. Raju Murugan is a writer, journalist-turned-filmmaker from Tiruvarur. His works include Vattiyum Muthalum, Ondru and Gypsy, all of which were published in Ananda Vikatan. He made his directorial debut with Cuckoo (2014). His second film, Joker, was conferred the Best Feature Film in Tamil award at the 64th National Film Awards. He worked as an assistant to Lingusamy for 3 years.

Super Deluxe is the soundtrack to the 2019 Tamil-language film of the same name, co-written, co-produced and directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja. The album featured 18 instrumental pieces, composed, arranged, produced and programmed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, eventually marking his second collaboration with Kumararaja after Aaranya Kaandam (2011). Unlike, his first film which had no songs, Kumararaja demanded to include a soundtrack having lyrical songs, but later abandoned. This film, eventually marked Yuvan's third musical which did not contain any songs. The team, however reused licensed compositions from yesteryear films.
