Citadel: Honey Bunny is an upcoming Indian spy action television series and spin-off to the American television series Citadel , on Amazon Prime Video, written by Sita R Menon and Raj & DK, and directed by Raj & DK. It stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the title characters with Kay Kay Menon, Simran Bagga and Emma Canning. [1] It is basically a prequel to the original Citadel series.
It is scheduled to release on 7 November 2024.
When stuntman Bunny recruits struggling actress Honey for a side gig, they are hurled into a high-stakes world of action, espionage and betrayal. Years later, as their dangerous past catches up, the estranged Honey and Bunny must reunite and fight to protect their young daughter Nadia.
Nadia from the original series is also present in this spin-off, as a much younger character; the events shown in this series thus preceding the events shown in Citadel, and connecting this show to the Citadel Cinematic Universe.
In December 2022, Anthony and Joe Russo announced the Indian spin-off of Citadel . [2]
