The Ducati Panigale is a family of sport motorcycles manufactured by Ducati [1] since 2011. The Panigale is named after the small manufacturing town of Borgo Panigale. [2] All motorcycles of this series use monocoque frame (the engine is a stressed member, replacing Ducati's conventional trellis frame). [3]

The Ducati 848 is a sport bike with a 849 cc (51.8 cu in) 90° L-twin engine made by Ducati. It was announced on November 6, 2007 for the 2008 model year, replacing the 749. The 848 and the 1098 are the same design by Giandrea Fabbro, both use the same frame and bodywork. The first generation 848 makes a claimed 92 kW 10,000 rpm and 90 N⋅m (66 lbf⋅ft) torque at 8,240 rpm. With a manufacturer claimed dry weight of 168 kg (370 lb), the 848 is 5 kg (11 lb) lighter than its larger displacement sibling, the 1198. The first generation 848 covered model years 2008, 2009 and 2010. In July 2009 the 848 Hayden Limited Edition was introduced as a 2010 model as a marketing tie-in with world champion Nicky Hayden racing for Ducati starting from the 2009 Moto GP season.

The Ducati ST series is a set of Italian sport touring motorcycles manufactured by Ducati from 1997 through 2007. In order of release, the series comprised five distinct models: the ST2, ST4, ST4S, ST3, and ST3S. Intended to compete with other sport-tourers such as the Honda VFR, the ST Ducatis had a full fairing, a large dual seat and a relaxed riding position for both rider and pillion. The ST bikes had a centre-stand, and could be fitted with optional matching luggage.

He gained notoriety when he was given the responsibility to design the next generation of Ducati's Superbike line, the 1098, after Pierre Terblanche's 999 failed to gain the popularity and success of the iconic 916 designed by Massimo Tamburini.

The Ducati 1199 Panigale was a 1,198 cc (73.1 cu in) Ducati sport bike introduced at the 2011 Milan Motorcycle Show. The motorcycle is named after the small manufacturing town of Borgo Panigale. Ducati had announced a larger displacement 1,285 cc (78.4 cu in) 1299 Panigale for the 2015 model year.

Paul Bird Motorsport are a British motorcycle road racing, car racing and rallying organisation. From 2024, following owner Paul Bird's death in 2023, the motorcycle road racing operation was renamed Paul Bird Racing with Glenn Irwin as sole rider in British Superbike class. Paul Bird had competed as a rally driver and a solo-rider in motocross. His son Frank is a car racer.

The Ducati 899 Panigale is a 898 cc (54.8 cu in) sport bike from Ducati, released in 2013 to replace the 848. The motorcycle is named after the small manufacturing town of Borgo Panigale. It has a 148-horsepower (110 kW) version of the engine in the previously released 1199 Panigale. Claimed dry weight is 169 kilograms (373 lb). The 899 has a conventional two-sided swingarm, unlike the 1199 which has a single-sided swingarm. The unconventional decision to use a two-sided swingarm on a superbike from Ducati was made because of the substantial upgrades added to the bike including electronically adjustable anti-lock brakes, traction control, electronic braking control, and a quickshifter. This is the first medium-sized Ducati that uses the Superquadro engine.

The Ducati Panigale V2 is a 955 cc V-twin engine sport bike manufactured by Ducati as the successor to the Panigale 959. The motorcycle is named after the manufacturing district of Borgo Panigale. It was announced in 2019 for the 2020 model year. Chassis is a very similar monocoque with stressed-member engine; the engine bore and stroke remained the same; some re-engineering resulted in a 5 horsepower (3.7 kW) increase and Euro 5 emissions compliance.
