Ducati is an Italian motorcycle manufacturing company headquartered in Bologna, Italy. The company is directly owned by Italian automotive manufacturer Lamborghini, whose German parent company is Audi, itself owned by the Volkswagen Group.
A V-twin engine, also called a V2 engine, is a two-cylinder piston engine where the cylinders are arranged in a V configuration and share a common crankshaft.

The Ducati Desmosedici is a four-stroke V4 engine racing motorcycle made by Ducati for MotoGP racing. The series nomenclature is GP with the two-digit year appended, such as Desmosedici GP10 for 2010. In 2006 Ducati made a short production run of 1,500 street-legal variants, the Desmosedici RR.

Miguel Galluzzi is an industrial designer specializing in motorcycle design. Galluzzi currently heads Piaggio's Advanced Design Center (PADC) in Pasadena, California, where he manages the design of the Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Derbi and Gilera motorcycle brands, working closely with the company's styling headquarters in Italy as well as its research and development centers in China, India and Vietnam.
The Ducati 1098 is a sport bike made by Ducati from 2007 to 2009, in three versions, the 1098, 1098S, and 1098R. The 1098 was succeeded by the 1198 in 2009, though the 1098R remained in production that year.

The Ducati 848 is a sport bike with a 849 cc (51.8 cu in) 90° L-twin engine made by Ducati. It was announced on November 6, 2007 for the 2008 model year, replacing the 749. The 848 and the 1098 are the same design by Giandrea Fabbro, both use the same frame and bodywork. The first generation 848 makes a claimed 92 kW 10,000 rpm and 90 N⋅m (66 lbf⋅ft) torque at 8,240 rpm. With a manufacturer claimed dry weight of 168 kg (370 lb), the 848 is 5 kg (11 lb) lighter than its larger displacement sibling, the 1198. The first generation 848 covered model years 2008, 2009 and 2010. In July 2009 the 848 Hayden Limited Edition was introduced as a 2010 model as a marketing tie-in with world champion Nicky Hayden racing for Ducati starting from the 2009 Moto GP season.
Pramac Racing is a motorcycle racing team competing in the MotoGP World Championship. The team was created in 2002 by Italian company Pramac. In 2005 Pramac Racing joined forces with Spanish d'Antin MotoGP to form "Pramac d'Antin" and in 2007 the team became part of the Pramac Group. After Luis d'Antin left the team in 2008, the team became known as "Pramac Racing". Their base is in Casole d'Elsa, Tuscany, Italy.

Michele Pio Pirro is a motorcycle road racer from Italy, He was 2007 and 2008 the Italian CIV National Champion in the Superstock class and a test rider for Ducati factory racing in MotoGP and rides occasionally as a wildcard.
The Ducati 1199 Panigale was a 1,198 cc (73.1 cu in) Ducati sport bike introduced at the 2011 Milan Motorcycle Show. The motorcycle is named after the small manufacturing town of Borgo Panigale. Ducati had announced a larger displacement 1,285 cc (78.4 cu in) 1299 Panigale for the 2015 model year.
The Moto Guzzi Museum is a transport museum in Mandello del Lario, Italy. The collection includes a number of important Moto Guzzi street motorcycles and motorcycle racing machines, as well as examples of rare engines like the Moto Guzzi V8. A section of the museum is devoted to historic Guzzi racer Bill Lomas.
