Dukuh Pakis is a district of Surabaya, East Java. Located in South Surabaya, it is divided into four urban villages or subdistricts (kelurahan). The name translates as "Fern District" or "Fern Hamlet" in Javanese. The district is mostly consists of residential areas, shopping malls and restaurants. Notable attractions include shopping malls like Ciputra World Surabaya, Fairway Nine and Lagoon Avenue, as well as two major golf ranges, Darmo Hills and Graha Famili. A major private research university, Wijaya Kusuma University, is also located in the district.

Geography

Dukuh Pakis is a landlocked district bordering Sambikerep and Wiyung to the south and west. Much of it is developed by Intiland and Bukit Darmo Golf (BDG). Artificial lakes and golf venues have been made. Its postal code is 60224, with 60224 being used for Gunung Sari (Gunungsari), 60225 for Dukuh Kupang and Dukuh Pakis, and 60226 for Pradahkalikendal (Pradah Kali Kendal). Dukuh Pakis has a regional administrative code that is 35.78.21. [2]

Controversies

Ronald Tannur case

In July 2024 trials were underway about Ronald Tannur, Edward Tannur's 32-year-old son, after murdering his then-partner by colliding her while driving in Fairway Nine shopping mall in 2023. Court suggested his prison sentence to be 12 years. The judge has asked the court to have Tannur "free of all charges". [3]

Wonokromo is an administrative district (kecamatan) in the city of Surabaya, Indonesia. The Wonokromo railway station serves the area. The Kalimas River originally turned north and empties into the Tanjung Perak and Kali Jagir, a manmade branch of the river that connects east to the sea and includes a dam built by the Dutch. The area is also home to DTC formerly the Wonokromo Market.

Sukmajaya is a town and an administrative district (kecamatan) within the city of Depok, in the province of West Java, Indonesia, within the Jakarta metropolitan area. Serpong is a town and an administrative district (kecamatan) of South Tangerang city, in Banten Province on Java, Indonesia. Before South Tangerang City became an autonomous city, Serpong District was one of the districts of Tangerang Regency. It covers an area of 28.27 km2, and had a population of 137,212 at the 2010 Census and 154,744 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 163,451. The district is sub-divided into nine kelurahan.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Edward Tannur</span> Indonesian politician (born 1961)

Edward Tannur is an Indonesian politician and businessman who was elected into the House of Representatives of Indonesia for the three consecutive terms in 2009–2024. A non-active cadre of the National Awakening Party, he represents the East Nusa Tenggara II electoral district and sits in Commission IV. Tannur's 32-year-old-in-2024 son Ronald Tannur was tried in Surabaya for crashing into a woman and killing her in a parking lot building. Shortly after, Tannur deactivated from his position in parliament and, after the 2024 election, is standing for re-election.
