Contents
It was commissioned by the Duke of Bridgewater as a companion piece to a seventeenth century painting in his possession. [2] It was displayed at the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition at Somerset House. [3] Today it is in the collection of the National Gallery in London. [4]
