The eOdisha Summit 2014 was the second edition of the eOdisha Summit, a Conference, Exhibition and Awards Summit held on January 24, 2014 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India with themes of Governance, Information Technology (IT) and Healthcare. Sambalpur City in Odisha, India

Sambalpur is the fifth largest city in the Indian State of Odisha. It is located on the banks of river Mahanadi, with a population of 335,761 . Sambalpur is one of the ancient places of India, with recorded settlements in the prehistoric age. It is the home of Sambalpuri Saree from which the world famous textile derives its name. Utkal University Public University in Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Utkal University is the oldest university in Odisha and the 17th-oldest university in India located in Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Odisha. It is a teaching-cum-affiliating university. The present campus at Vani Vihar located on a sprawling 399.9 acre area in the heart of Bhubaneswar. This is the largest affiliating university in the country with 267 affiliated general colleges, 15 law colleges, 6 medical and pharmacy colleges.

The National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) was established in 1996 by a group of academicians and technocrats educated in the top institutes of India and abroad. It is promoted by SM Charitable Educational Trust under the vision and guidance of its founder chairman, Dr. Sukant K. Mohapatra. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to the BPUT. The institute campus of 70 acres is located in the Pallur Hills about 12 km from Berhampur and three hours drive from Bhubaneswar.

Ravenshaw University

Ravenshaw University is a co-educational state university situated in Cuttack, Odisha on the eastern coast of India. Founded as Ravenshaw College in 1868, the institution became a university in 2006. The university has nine schools, thirty three academic departments and a student enrolment of nearly 8,000. It is one of the oldest educational institutes in the country and its history is synonymous with the history of modern Odisha.

Barapada Engineering School (BES), came into being in 1957. Late Dr Harekrushna Mahatab, the then Chief Minister of Odisha conceived the idea with the objective of developing it in due course to a rural university.

IIT Bhubaneswar

Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar is a public technical and research university established by the government of India in 2008, located at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. It is one of the eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011 which establishes the eight new IITs as well as declares IT-BHU as Indian Institute of Technology. The Act was passed in the Lok Sabha on 24 March 2011 and by the Rajya Sabha on 30 April 2012. It started functioning from the campus of IIT Kharagpur on 23 July 2008 and shifted its operation to the city of Bhubaneswar on 22 July 2009.

Sriballav Panigrahi was an Indian politician, a leader of the Indian National Congress party in Odisha and was a member of the All India Congress Committee (AICC). He was elected to the Parliament of India from the Deogarh Lok Sabha constituency, three times, 1984, 1991 and 1996.

Institute of Chemical Technology public deemed university in Mumbai, India

Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) is a public deemed university in Mumbai, India. The institute also has campuses at Bhubaneswar, Odisha and Jalna, Marathwada. It is focused on training and research in fields of chemical engineering, chemical technology, and pharmacy. It was established in 1933 and was granted deemed university status in 2008, making it the only state-funded deemed university in India. On 12 February 2018 it was given status of Category 1 institute with graded autonomy by MHRD and UGC. It is also an institute with a special status as mentioned in SECTION IV of the Report of the Empowered Expert Committee in 2018.

Kalinga Lancers

Kalinga Lancers is a field hockey team based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha that plays in the Hockey India League. It is jointly owned by Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) and Mahanadi Coalfield Limited (MCL). Former Australian field player Mark Hager is the head coach of the team while former Indian captain Dilip Tirkey is the chief mentor and advisor of the team.

Prabhat Nalini Das was a leading public intellectual and academic from India. She served as a professor of English and head of the English Department at Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University; Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur; Utkal University and Ranchi University. She was the very first Director/Dean of the Humanities Division at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur; Founder-Professor and Head of the Department of English at Utkal University for almost nineteen years, and Chairman of Utkal University's Post Graduate Council; and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of North Eastern Hill University, a Central University established by an act of the Parliament of India, with independent charge of its Kohima, Nagaland campus.

Amitabh Rajan

Amitabh Rajan is an Indian Administrative Service officer of Maharashtra cadre and the former Home Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary of Maharashtra. He currently heads the Reserve Bank of India Services Board as its Chairman, and is also an Independent Director in the Board of the State Trading Corporation of India.

The eOdisha Summit 2013's Chief Guest was the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik and the guest of honors were Dr. Damodar Rout, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Odisha and Ram Sewak Sharma, Director General and Mission Director of UIDAI.

Shailabala Women's College is a state run postgraduate, undergraduate and junior +2 women's government college on Madhusudan road in Cuttack, India. Shailabala Women's College is the first Women's College of Odisha.

The Odisha Tennis Premier League (OTPL)m pursuant to sponsorship agreements with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and NTPC Limited, is an Indian team tennis league that takes place in Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar. The elite level exhibition tennis tournament took place for the first time in July 2017.

Aparajita Sarangi is an Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party and the incumbent Member of Parliament from Bhubaneswar. A former Odisha cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1994 batch, Sarangi quit her job and joined the BJP in 27 November 2018 to contest the 2019 Indian general election. She was fielded against Biju Janata Dal's Arup Patnaik.

Baidyanath Misra was an Indian economist, educationist, author and administrator from the state of Odisha. He served as the Vice-Chancellor of the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Chairman of Odisha State Planning Board, Chairman of Odisha's First State Finance Commission, Secretary of Odisha State Welfare Board, founder and President of Orissa Economics Association, and the founder Director and Chairman of NKC Centre for Development and Research. He wrote 16 books in English and 20 in Odia. He was also a columnist in several leading Odia journals. He organised several camps across Odisha, for helping the cause of the poor and downtrodden.
