Scope

EPL publishes original letters that communicates new results and findings that merit rapid publication in all areas of physics. EPL also publishes comments on letters previously published in the journal.

History

Europhysics Letters was founded in 1986 by the European Physical Society (EPS), Société Française de Physique (SFP) and its subsidiary EDP Sciences, the Società Italiana di Fisica (SIF) and the Institute of Physics (IOP). The new journal incorporated Lettere al Nuovo Cimento and Journal de Physique: Lettres and was published by EPS, EDP Sciences and SIF until 2006.

EPL is now published under the scientific policy and control of the EPS by EDP Sciences, IOP Publishing and SIF for a partnership of 17 European physical societies (the EPL Association). [1]

The European Physical Journal is a joint publication of EDP Sciences, Springer Science+Business Media, and the Società Italiana di Fisica. It arose in 1998 as a merger and continuation of Acta Physica Hungarica, Anales de Física, Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, Il Nuovo Cimento, Journal de Physique, Portugaliae Physica and Zeitschrift für Physik. The journal is published in various sections, covering all areas of physics.

Faraday Discussions Academic journal

Faraday Discussions is a scientific journal publishing original research papers presented at a long-running series of conferences on physical chemistry, chemical physics and biophysical chemistry which are also called Faraday Discussions, together with a record of the comments made at the meeting. The journal was originally published by the Faraday Society. The journal has been published by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) since that society merged into the RSC. From 1972 to 1991, it was known as the Faraday Discussions of the Chemical Society. Traditionally there have been three Faraday Discussions a year, however, from 2014 around eight conferences are organised annually.
