East Central Guadalcanal is a single-member constituency of the National Parliament of Solomon Islands. Located on the island of Guadalcanal, it was established in 1993 when Parliament was expanded from 38 to 47 seats; Its first MP, Hilda Kari, had served as the MP for North East Guadalcanal between 1989 and 1993.

Solomon Islands is a sovereign state in the Melanesia subregion of Oceania in the western Pacific Ocean. Laurie Hok Si Chan is a politician and diplomat from the Solomon Islands. He served as Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2002 to 2006 and served in the National Parliament as MP for West Guadalcanal Constituency from 2001 to 2010. In May 2009, he was named Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs in Prime Minister Derek Sikua's government, and was fired from this same position in April 2010.
David Derek Sikua served as the prime minister of Solomon Islands from 20 December 2007 to 25 August 2010. He is a member of the Solomon Islands Liberal Party.
Honiara is the capital and largest city of Solomon Islands, situated on the northwestern coast of Guadalcanal. As of 2021, it had a population of 92,344 people. The city is served by Honiara International Airport and the seaport of Point Cruz, and lies along the Kukum Highway. Point Cruz is a peninsula in the center of Honiara, on Guadalcanal Island. Honiara is the capital city of the Solomon Islands. Point Cruz is located on the Tandai Highway, and is ¼ mile north of the Solomon Islands Parliament Building. Point Cruz is in the Honiara City Council ward of Cruz, and is East of Town Ground and West of Tuvaruhu.

East Guadalcanal is a single-member constituency of the National Parliament of Solomon Islands. Located on the island of Guadalcanal, it was established in 1970 when the Governing Council was created and the number of elected seats increased from 14 to 17.
East Malaita is a single-member constituency of the National Parliament of Solomon Islands. Located on the island of Malaita, it was established in 1973 when the Governing Council was expanded from 17 to 24 seats. It was abolished in 1993 when Parliament was expanded from 38 to 47 seats, but re-established in 1997 when a further three seats were added. Alfred Maetia, who served as MP for East Malaita between 1980 and 1993, was elected in Central Kwara'ae in the 1993 elections, but returned to contest the East Malaita seat in 1997.
Ethel Lency Vokia is a member of the National Parliament of the Solomon Islands. In 2020 she became the fourth woman in the 2019-2024 Parliament and only the sixth woman ever to be elected to that Parliament.
