East Lansing Public Schools

East Lansing Public Schools is the school district for East Lansing, Michigan, USA. The district is governed by a seven-person Board of Education. Since 1973, the Board has included a student-elected, non-voting student representative from East Lansing High School. [1] The superintendent is Dori Leyko. [2]

Attendance area

The district, mostly in Ingham County, includes much of East Lansing, portions of Lansing and Haslett, and portions of Lansing Charter Township and Meridian Charter Township. [3] A portion of the district is in Clinton County, where it serves portions of the parts of East Lansing in the county, as well as sections of Bath Charter Township. [4]

Okemos Public Schools, originally established in 1849, now represents a 22.5-square-mile (58 km2) area in north-central Ingham County in Okemos, Michigan adjacent to East Lansing, Michigan and four miles (6.4 km) east of Lansing, Michigan.

The Lansing Public School District is the urban public school district covering 52 square miles including most of the city of Lansing, Michigan, part of the city of East Lansing, and parts of the townships of Delta, DeWitt, Lansing, and Watertown. It has specialty schools for Chinese Immersion, International Baccalaureate, STEM, STEAM, and other categories.
