The Eastern Pennsylvania Geographic Union (EPGU) is the Geographical Union (GU) for rugby union teams in Eastern and Central Pennsylvania, as well as Delaware and parts of New Jersey. [1] EPGU is part of USA Rugby.
The EPRU was the first Local Area Union to hold Level I & Level II Coaching Certification programs. Currently, the EPRU supports 82 full members and 64 high school teams. See Category:Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union.
The EPRU became a geographic union in September 2013 and was renamed the Eastern Penn Geographic Union (EPGU). [2]

College rugby, more specifically rugby union, is played throughout universities in the United States of America. Between 2004 and 2010 Rugby was the fastest growing sport in the United States when its popularity increased by roughly 350%. Men's college rugby is governed by USA Rugby, and does not fall under the auspices of the NCAA with the exception of 21 NCAA women's programs. Women's Rugby has been classified as an NCAA Emerging Sport since 2002.
