Edward James Byrom (born 17 June 1997) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. [1] [2] Byrom qualifies to play for the Zimbabwe cricket team,as his place of birth,and for the Ireland cricket team,due to holding an Irish passport. [3]
Byrom made his first-class debut for Somerset in the 2017 County Championship on 26 June 2017. [4] [5] He scored his maiden first-class half-century in the final match of the season against Middlesex to help Somerset to victory and Division One survival. [6] [7]
In October 2017,he signed for the Zimbabwean domestic team the Rising Stars,allowing him to play in the 2017–18 Logan Cup. [8] In his first match for the Rising Stars,he made 152 in the second innings against Matabeleland Tuskers in Harare,his maiden first-class century. [9] [10]
He made his Twenty20 debut on 2 August 2019,for Somerset in the 2019 t20 Blast,hitting 54 runs from 19 balls. [11] Byrom scored a century in the final of the 2020 Bob Willis Trophy. [12] He made his List A debut on 25 July 2021,for Somerset in the 2021 Royal London One-Day Cup. [13]
On 3 September 2021,Byrom joined Glamorgan on loan for the remainder of the 2021 season ahead of signing a two-year deal with the Welsh county. [14]
The Southern Rocks is one of five Zimbabwean cricket franchises. They are a first-class cricket team,based in the Masvingo and Matabeleland South area. They play their home matches at Masvingo Sports Club in Masvingo. The team initially ceased to play after the 2013–14 season. In their 47 first-class matches they won 3,lost 27,and drew 17. However,in December 2020,Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed they would be one of the teams playing in the 2020–21 Logan Cup Southern Rocks won their first Logan Cup trophy in the same 2020–21 season.

The 2016–17 Logan Cup was the 23rd edition of the Logan Cup,a first-class cricket competition in Zimbabwe. It was held between December 2016 and May 2017. Mountaineers won the tournament,following a draw against Mashonaland Eagles in round 8 of the competition.
Samuel James Cook is an English cricketer. He made his first-class debut on 31 March 2016 for Loughborough MCCU against Surrey as part of the Marylebone Cricket Club University fixtures. He played for Essex against the West Indies during their tour of England in August 2017. He was part of the 2017 County Championship winning Essex squad.

The Rising Stars were a Zimbabwean first-class cricket team that was formed in 2017. They played their home matches at Takashinga Cricket Club,Highfield,Harare. The team was founded by Zimbabwe's former Test cricket captain Tatenda Taibu. They played in Zimbabwe's domestic cricket competitions,starting with the 2017–18 Logan Cup.
The 2017–18 Logan Cup was the 24th edition of the Logan Cup,a first-class cricket competition that took place in Zimbabwe. It started on 4 October 2017 and included a new team,the Rising Stars,along with the existing four teams. Mountaineers were the defending champions.
Cunningham Ncube is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Westerns in the 2007–08 Logan Cup on 17 May 2008. He made his Twenty20 debut for Matabeleland Tuskers in the 2018–19 Stanbic Bank 20 Series on 12 March 2019. In December 2020,he was selected to play for the Tuskers in the 2020–21 Logan Cup. His fielding position is the Wicket-keeper and he bats right handed in almost all of his games.

Prior to his debut,he was part of a high performance squad of under-19 players,who were selected to face Canada. In December 2020,he was selected to play for the Tuskers in the 2020–21 Logan Cup. The 2020 Bob Willis Trophy was a first-class cricket tournament held in the 2020 English cricket season,and the inaugural edition of the Bob Willis Trophy. It was separate from the County Championship,which was not held in 2020 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom. The eighteen county cricket teams were split into three regional groups of six,with the two group winners with the most points advancing to a final held at Lord's. The maximum number of overs bowled in a day was reduced from 96 to 90,and the team's first innings could be no longer than 120 overs.
