Christopher Barry Cooke (born 30 May 1986) is a South African cricketer who plays as a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper. Born in Johannesburg,he has played for Western Province and Glamorgan. [1] He was Glamorgan captain for three seasons until stepping down in December 2021. [2] [3]
In September 2021,in the final round of the 2021 County Championship,Cooke scored his maiden double century in first-class cricket,with an unbeaten 205 runs. [4]

The team's overseas players were Australians Marnus Labuschagne and Michael Neser,and South African Colin Ingram,while Shubman Gill and Ajaz Patel were brought in during the season. Glamorgan played two 50-over matches at The Gnoll in Neath,their first matches there for 27 years,but for the third season in a row,they did not play any matches at Penrhyn Avenue in Rhos-on-Sea.
