Edith Vethi Nyenze is a Kamba Kenyan politician who is the incumbent Member of Parliament for Kitui West Constituency. She was elected to succeed her late husband Francis Nyenze as the 7th Member of Parliament for Kitui West Constituency. She belongs to the WDM.
Following the death of her husband in December 2017,Edith declared her intention to plunk into the elective politics. She entered in the race to succeed him as Member of Parliament for Kitui West Constituency in the subsequent by-election on 26 March 2018;and participated in the WDM party primary election process emerging the winner. She beat Maluki Mwendwa son to Winnie Nyiva Mwendwa. [2]
On 26 March 2018 she won the seat on a landslide victory,garnering 72% of the total votes casts. The by-election voter turnout was said to be 38%. [3]

He is elected on a Wiper Democratic Movement-Kenya (WDM-K) which he won the 2013 elections garnering 163,904 votes .He defended his seat on Wiper ticket in the 2017 general election but lost to Charity Ngilu coming third behind former senator David Musila however he recaptured the seat and won after the 9th August 2022 gubernatorial elections with 198,004 votes defeating former senator David Musila who had 114,606 votes and Jonathann Mueke with 10,639 votes. As the pioneer governor of Kitui he is credited with much of the development gains made in the region. On 12th December 2022 Dr. Malombe was awarded the Elder of The Golden Heart by President William Ruto.
Jane Dodds MS is a Welsh politician who has served as Leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats since 2017. She was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Brecon and Radnorshire at the seat's 2019 by-election,but was an MP for only three months before being defeated in the general election later the same year. In May 2021,Dodds was elected to the Senedd on the Mid and West Wales list. This made her the only Welsh Liberal Democrat Member of the Senedd (MS) in the 6th Senedd.
Nimrod Mbithuka Mbai is a Kenyan politician and the current Member of Parliament for Kitui East Constituency. He was elected on a UDA ticket in the August 8th elections. He won after garnering a total of 14,256 votes against 10,899 votes garnered by NARC's Militonic Mwendwa Kitute. The then incumbent Member of Parliament,Major (Rtd) Mutua Muluvi was fourth with 5,436 votes. He is an ex-police officer and served as security aide to the late Francis Nyenze and later to the current Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua. Governor Mutua appointed him to his government in 2013 after Mbai resigned from his police service. Mbai caused controversy for his rape remarks against Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu because of the governor's support for poll boycott called by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. He later apologised following public outcry and pressure from women's rights group FIDA Kenya
