Samuel Atandi is a Kenyan politician from the Orange Democratic Movement who has been Member of the National Assembly for Alego Usonga since 2017. He was re-elected at the 2022 general election. [1]

The National Party of Kenya is a political party in Kenya. In the legislative elections of 27 December 2002, the party was a partner in the National Rainbow Coalition that won 56.1% of the popular vote and 125 out of 212 elected seats. The party itself took six of these seats. In the presidential elections of the same day, the party supported Mwai Kibaki, who won 62.2% and was elected.

He was re-elected in 2017. Jeremiah Kioni issued a threat of PNU pulling out of the Grand Coalition because of what he termed continued frustration by the ODM party over Mwai Kibaki judiciary nominations. He is a friend of Jamleck Irungu Kamau.

He belongs to the Orange Democratic Movement party and was elected to represent the Alego Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election. He was in the 2013 Kenyan parliamentary election by George Washington Muluan Omondi, making him the second one-term member of parliament in the region after KANU's Peter Okudo of 1969.

Alego Constituency is an electoral constituency in Kenya. It is one of six constituencies of Siaya County. The constituency was established for the 1963 national elections. It is also known as Alego-Usonga Constituency. The constituency has 13 wards, of which five elect councillors for the urban Siaya municipality and the rest seven for the rural Siaya County Council.

The winner of the event was Samuel Wanjiru of Kenya, who set an Olympic record in the time of two hours, six minutes, and 32 seconds. It was Kenya's first victory in the men's marathon. Morocco won its first medal in the event since 1960, with Jaouad Gharib's silver. Tsegay Kebede of Ethiopia took bronze.
