El-Hadj is the fourth studio album by the Nigerian rapper Reminisce, released on 29 August 2016. The album features guest appearances from 2Baba, Olamide, Seriki, 9ice, Ice Prince, Solidstar, and Mr Eazi, as well as collaborations with his label signees Sojay and Oladips. Its production was handled by Sarz, Sossick, Jomane, Pbankz, TSpize, Tyce, Camo Blaizz, and TMXO. It serves as a follow-up to Baba Hafusa (2015).
Reminisce revealed the artwork for El-Hadj on 11 July 2016. [1] The album's track listing was revealed on 22 August 2016. [2] On the same day, Reminisce ended his contract with Edge Records for reasons that remain unclear. [3]

Joey Akan of Pulse Nigeria described El-Hadj as a deeply personal and grounded album that blends reflection and celebration, showcasing Reminisce’s growth and versatility. Praising its introspective storytelling and vibrant party tracks, he concluded, “It’s a pilgrimage of some sort for the rapper, as he connects to a deeper level of narration and vulnerability to recreate his Mecca." The album was rated 4/5. [6] Tola Sarumi of NotJustOk praised El-Hadj as a reawakening for Reminisce, showcasing his depth, versatility, and commitment to blending hard-hitting rap with introspection. Describing it as "a grown man rap album for the most part," Sarumi concluded, “Reminisce almost delivers the perfect body of work his talent is capable of.” The album was rated 7.5/10. [4] In Wilfred Okiche's review for 360nobs, he highlighted El-Hadj for its blend of menacing beats, street tales, and themes of sex, religion, and hustle. Okiche concluded, "El-Hadj may be Reminisce’s most accessible album yet," rating it 7 out of 10. [5]
Chiagoziem Onyekwena of Filterfree noted that the album showcased the rapper's ability to blend introspection with a variety of sounds and themes, bridging eras and genres effortlessly. While not all the tracks wowed him, he praised moments like "I Remember" for humanizing Reminisce and commending its depth and honesty, and "Ibadi", calling it “the perfect Nigerian strip club anthem”. He rated the album 81%. [8] Temitope Dolano of tooXclusive noted that the album showcased his versatility and artistic prowess, blending various genres while maintaining his signature style. The review highlighted the strong features from other artists and praised Reminisce's ability to consistently deliver hits. Dolano concluded, "he just placed the bar a foot higher and am more than interested to see who tops this genius," rating the album 4.5 out of 5. [7]

The album features a blend of Afrobeat and hip hop, and spawned the singles "Nigboro", "Government", "Fantasi", "3rd World Thug", and "Eleniyan". The album featured artists such as Wizkid, Obadice, Burna Boy, Naeto C, Sossick, Davido, Endia and Olamide. Production was handled by Sossick, Sarz, Jospo, Chopstix, DeeVee and Shizzi. No Guts No Glory is the debut studio album by Nigerian rapper Phyno. It was released by Sputnet Records and Penthauze Music on March 20, 2014. The album features guest appearances from P-Square, Omawumi, Olamide, Stormrex, Efa, Flavour N'abania, Runtown, Ice Prince, M.I, Mr Raw, Timaya and Illbliss. Phyno enlisted Major Bangz, WizzyPro, Chopstix and JStunt to assist with production. Primarily recorded in Igbo and Nigerian Pidgin, No Guts No Glory was supported by the singles "Ghost Mode", "Man of the Year", "Parcel" and "O Set". The album received generally positive reviews from music critics, who commended its indigenous sound and lyrical depth.
Baba Hafusa is the third studio album by Nigerian rap act Reminisce which was released through EDGE Records and LRR Entertainment on 30 April 2015. It is the rapper's third overall studio album after releasing Book of Rap Stories in 2012 and Alaga Ibile in 2013. The studio album which features guest appearances from SoJay, Vector, Ice Prince, Olamide, Phyno, Sossick and Sean Tizzle was according to Reminisce a way of paying tribute to his daughter named Hafusa.
Street OT is the fourth studio album by Nigerian rapper Olamide. It was released on November 14, 2014 through YBNL Nation. The album is a follow-up to his 2013 Baddest Guy Ever Liveth album. Preceded by the singles titled "Story For The Gods" and "Goons Mi", Street OT features guest appearances from Pasuma, Lil Kesh, Chinko Ekun, Phyno, Don Jazzy, and Reminisce. Its production was handled by Pheelz, B-Banks and Young Jonn. The ideology of the title of the album is to glorify and show his love for the "streets", a word with which Olamide is synanimous with.

It serves as a follow-up to his debut, Mushin 2 Mo' Hits (2009). Versus, also known by the longer title Versus: The Battle Line Is Drawn, is the fourth studio album by Nigerian indigenous artist 9ice. It was released on 7 December 2011 by Alapomeji Ancestral Records, alongside Bashorun Gaa. The album features a blend of Afrobeat and hip hop. The album was titled Versus because many artists are featured on the album, in which, 9ice is "versing" them, when, really, he's featuring them on his songs. Notable artists were featured on the album, including 2Baba, Banky W., Duncan Mighty, Seriki, Mode 9, V.I.P, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Dagrin, M.I, Ajayi Brovas, Kwaw Kese, Timaya, Kwam 1, and Wizboyy. The producers that worked on the album include ID Cabasa, Puffy Tee, Tee-Y Mix, Cheepho, Spellz, Duncan Mighty, E.L, and D'Tunes. The fifth track off the album, Iya Alariya, was supposed to feature veteran musician King Sunny Adé, but the label failed to make time to get Adé and 9ice in the studio.

Reminisce enlisted producers such as Sarz, Eskeez, Quebeat, Fiokee, Teekaz, Pimpzbeatz, Rhookcastle, Goldswarm, F3tickxx, Phantom, Niphkeys, and Jomaine. The album is a follow-up to his 2020 EP, Vibes & Insha Allah (2020), and is his first full-length studio album in seven years since El-Hadj (2016).
