The 2025 SEA Games, officially the 33rd SEA Games, or the 2025 Southeast Asian Games and also known as Bangkok–Chonburi–Songkhla 2025, is an upcoming international multi-sport event sanctioned by the Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF), scheduled to be held from 9 to 20 December 2025 in Thailand with Bangkok Metropolitan Region, Chonburi, and Songkhla as their main host cities. The joint bid from the three cities was awarded the Games on 13 January 2023, after Thailand was confirmed as the host country by the Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF). It was the first time that the host cities were selected to host the Southeast Asian Games through the bidding and election process.

Ouk chaktrang events at the 2023 SEA Games were held at the Royal University of Phnom Penh Indoor Hall. 7 events, contested by 7 nations, were held from 29 April to 9 May 2023. Ouk chaktrang, or Cambodian chess, is a form of chess similar to Makruk of Thailand.

Kun Khmer competitions at the 2023 SEA Games took place at Morodok Techo National Stadium, Phnom Penh. Kun Khmer or Pradal serey is an ancient Cambodian variation of Kick boxing, dating back to the Khmer Empire in the 9th century AD. A total of 19 medals were awarded.

Sepak takraw and chinlone competitions at the 2023 SEA Games were held from 6–16 May 2023. The events were held in the Basketball Hall, Olympic Complex, Phnom Penh. A total of 22 medals were awarded.

The men's football tournament at the 2023 Southeast Asian Games was held in Cambodia. Ten Southeast Asian nations entered the men's tournament. The tournament was limited to players exclusively under-22 years of age.

Wrestling competitions at the 2023 SEA Games took place at Chroy Changvar Convention Centre in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 14 to 16 May 2023.
