Enemy of the World is the fourth studio album by American rock band Four Year Strong. It is the final album to feature keyboardist Josh Lyford prior to his departure from the band in April 2011.
On December 18, 2009, it was announced that the band had signed to Universal Motown Records and that their next album, Enemy of the World would be released in three months' time. [2] "It Must Really Suck to Be Four Year Strong Right Now" is the album's first single, released in the iTunes Store on December 21, 2009. [3] "Wasting Time (Eternal Summer)" became available for streaming on AbsolutePunk on February 11. It was announced be the album's second single, [4] and was released on February 9, 2010. [5] In January and February 2010, the band embarked on a US tour with support from the Bled, This Time Next Year, Title Fight and Strike Anywhere. [6] "What the Hell Is a Gigawatt?" was made available for streaming on Purevolume on February 27, 2010. [7]
In February and March 2010, the band performed at Soundwave festival in Australia. [8] The vinyl edition of the album was made available to pre-order on March 2. [9] Enemy of the World was made available for streaming through Myspace on March 4, 2010, before it was released through Decaydance and Universal Motown Records on March 9, 2010. [10] [11] In March and April, the band went on a US tour alongside Every Time I Die, Polar Bear Club and Trapped Under Ice. [12] "Tonight We Feel Alive (On a Saturday)" was released to radio on May 11. [13] A deluxe version of the album made available for streaming through Warped Tour's website on June 21, 2010, before was released on June 25, 2010. [14] It features "Bad News Bearz" alongside acoustic versions of four of the album's tracks. "Bad News Bearz" and the acoustic versions of "Tonight We Feel Alive (On a Saturday)" and "Wasting Time (Eternal Summer)" were posted online ahead of the reissue. [15] [16] [17] A music video was released for "Tonight We Feel Alive (On a Saturday)" on August 9. [18] The group performed on the Kerrang! Tour in the UK in February 2011. [19]
In October 2022, the band announced that a fully re-recorded version of the album is set to be released on February 17, 2023. [20]

AbsolutePunk reviewer Drew Beringer was extremely positive in his review, saying Enemy of the World "is a pop-punk juggernaut" and tops their previous album Rise or Die Trying by far. [21]
The album sold over 12,000 copies in its first week, debuting at number 47 on the Billboard 200. [27]
"Wasting Time (Eternal Summer)" was nominated at the Kerrang! Awards for Best Single, but lost to "Liquid Confidence" by You Me at Six. [28] Dead Press! featured it as number 15 on their best albums of the year list. [29] The album was included at number 39 on Rock Sound's "The 51 Most Essential Pop Punk Albums of All Time" list. Finch is an American post-hardcore band from Temecula, California. The band is best known for their single "What It Is to Burn" from the album of the same name (2002). Their second album, Say Hello to Sunshine (2005), peaked within the top 30 on the Billboard Hot 200. Following setbacks within the group, they released the album Back to Oblivion (2014).
Matchbook Romance was an American emo band from Poughkeepsie, New York and was formed in 1997. They were signed to Epitaph Records. They released two full-length albums and one EP. Their EP, West for Wishing, released in 2003 was their first recorded album during their time on Epitaph; their full-length debut album, Stories and Alibis, was recorded in the same year.
Midtown is an American pop-punk band from New Brunswick, New Jersey. Midtown was formed in November 1998 by three Rutgers University students, but quickly became a quartet. The group released three full-length studio albums and three extended plays before disbanding in 2005. In early 2014, Midtown reunited to play three shows, the first as a secret show at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, and the two remaining at the Skate And Surf Festival. They reunited for more shows in 2022 as openers on My Chemical Romance's reunion tour.

Mutiny! is the debut studio album by the rock band Set Your Goals. Within the first three months of 2006, the band signed to independent label Eulogy Recordings and recorded the album with Barrett Jones in Seattle, Washington. A Lesson in Romantics is the debut studio album by American rock band Mayday Parade. The band resulted from a merger of two separate bands, Kid Named Chicago and Defining Moment. In June 2006 the band released an EP, Tales Told by Dead Friends, which they sold to people by following the 2006 edition of Warped Tour and offering copies; it eventually sold 10,000 copies. The band signed to Fearless Records in August. A Lesson in Romantics was recorded in early 2007 with producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount. Vocalist/guitarist Jason Lancaster left the band in March 2007 citing a lack of writing credit on the band's releases. Prior to the release of A Lesson in Romantics, "Black Cat", "When I Get Home, You're So Dead", and "Jamie All Over" were made available for streaming. After the album's release, the band participated in the 2007 edition of Warped Tour.

Not Without a Fight is the sixth studio album by American rock band New Found Glory. It was released on March 10, 2009, through independent label Epitaph Records. Produced by Blink-182 singer-bassist Mark Hoppus and recorded at his home based-OPRA Studios, the album was seen as a return to the band's energetic roots in comparison to its predecessor; the mellow Coming Home (2006). The gap between releases marked the longest period between studio albums in the band's career thus far, while the title is taken from the lyrics in opening track, "Right Where We Left Off".

Nothing Personal is the third studio album by American rock band All Time Low. As early as May 2008, the band began writing for their third album, and by November revealed they would be recording in the winter. The band began pre-production in early January 2009 and started recording later in the month, which lasted until March. Half of the album's songs were produced by Matt Squire with Butch Walker, David Bendeth and S*A*M and Sluggo each producing a few songs. Tom Lord-Alge mixed the majority of the album. "Weightless" was made available for streaming in March, and released as a single in April. A support slot for Fall Out Boy and an appearance at the Bamboozle festival followed.
