Guangzhou Yuexiu Yucai Experimental School [5] is located on the island.

American International School of Guangzhou's elementary school campus is on the island. [6]

Previously the École Française Internationale de Canton, the French international school of Guangzhou, was located at the GoldArch Riverdale [note 1] development on Ersha Island. [7]

Transport

Ersha Island station on Line 12 of Guangzhou Metro is planned to open in 2024.

Tianhe District is one of the eleven districts of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province. In Chinese, the name Tianhe literally means "a river in the sky/heavens", which is also a Chinese name for the Milky Way. It is bordered by Yuexiu District on the west, Baiyun District on the north and Huangpu District on the east. Haizhu District is on its south, though they are separated by the Pearl River.

The Humen, also Bocca Tigris or Bogue, is a narrow strait in the Pearl River Delta that separates Shiziyang in the north and Lingdingyang in the south near Humen Town in China's Guangdong Province. It is the site of the Pearl River's discharge into the South China Sea. It contains the Port of Humen at Humen Town. The strait is formed by the islands of Chuenpi and Anunghoy on the eastern side, and Taikoktow on the western side. Since 1997, the strait has been traversed by the Humen Pearl River Bridge. Bocca Tigris was the entry to China's only trading city, Kanton.

Yuexiu District is one of 11 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, China, located west of the Tianhe District and east of the Liwan District. It is the commercial, political and cultural centre of Guangdong and noted for its high-quality education. The Guangdong provincial government and the Guangzhou city government are both located in the Yuexiu District. Established in 1960, the district absorbed the former Dongshan District in May 2005 along with several former subdistricts of the Baiyun and Tianhe district. Yuexiu District has 18 streets under its jurisdiction. The total area is 33.8 square kilometers. According to the seventh census data, as of 0:00 on November 1, 2020, the resident population of Yuexiu District was 1,038,643.

Jinshazhou is an island between Guangzhou and Foshan in Guangdong, China. It covers the total area of about 27 square kilometres. Touted as the metropolis of Guangzhou and Foshan, Jinshazhou is located in northwest Guangzhou, with Baisha River on its east, and Lishui, Zhoucun, Baishacun of Nanhai District, Foshan on its north, west and south.

Xunfenggang Station is an elevated terminus of Guangzhou Metro Line 6. It start operations on December 28, 2013. It is located at the south of Xunfenggang (浔峰岗), A1 Road, Jinshazhou, Baiyun District. Since the terminus approaches near Lishui, Nanhai District, Foshan over Xunfenggang, many residents suggested extending Guangzhou Metro from Xunfenggang to Lishui. Guangzhou authorities are considering the suggestion.

Dongshankou is an area in the Yuexiu District of Guangzhou, Guangdong province, People's Republic of China. The name "Dongshan" can trace back to Ming dynasty. A eunuch named Wei Juan, who was an officer in Guangzhou in years of Chenghua of Ming dynasty, built a temple on a small hill in the east side of Guangzhou city to boast himself. Guangzhou people at that time often called the main small hill as "Shan" and called the hummocks around it as "Gang", so they named the temple "Dongshan Temple". After that, the surrounding area is called Dongshan.
