Eternal Nightmare is the fifth studio album by American deathcore band Chelsea Grin. It was released on July 13, 2018. [3] [4] It is the first album from the band without either frontman Alex Koehler and guitarists Jacob Harmond and Dan Jones. The departure of the three also makes this release the first to not feature any founding members. It is also the first album that Chelsea Grin has recorded as a four-piece band, with ex-Lorna Shore vocalist Tom Barber joining the band on vocal duties. On April 27, 2018, Koehler confirmed this as well as his new solo act, Grudges, and Chelsea Grin released the lead single from the album, named "Dead Rose". [5] The second single, "Hostage", was released on June 1, 2018. The third single, "See You Soon" was released on June 14, 2018. This is the band's last album to be released by Rise Records. This is also the last album to feature Pablo Viveros on drums as he took a hiatus from the band in 2021, eventually leaving in 2024, and was replaced by Josh Miller.

Deathcore is an extreme metal subgenre that combines death metal with metalcore. The genre consists of death metal guitar riffs, blast beats, and metalcore breakdowns. While there are some precursors to the concept of death metal fused with metalcore/hardcore elements seen in the 1990s, deathcore itself emerged in the early 2000s and gained prominence beginning in the mid-2000s within the southwestern United States, especially Arizona and inland southern California, which are home to many notable bands and various festivals.

Despite not being in the original line-up, bassist David Flinn has been the only constant member on all the group's studio albums.

The group currently consists of lead guitarist Adam De Micco, drummer Austin Archey, rhythm guitarist Andrew O'Connor, vocalist Will Ramos, and bassist Michael Yager. The band is most known for their 2021 single "To the Hellfire". They have released four studio albums Psalms (2015), Flesh Coffin (2017), Immortal (2020), and Pain Remains (2022). The band has also released four EPs. Since 2011, no original members remain in the band.
Ashes to Ashes is the third studio album by American deathcore band Chelsea Grin released on July 8, 2014 via Artery and Razor & Tie. It is also the debut of drummer Pablo Viveros. The album also saw the debut of Viveros' co-vocals, allowing lead vocalist Alex Koehler to focus solely on high ranged screams while Viveros took on the mid to low ranged vocals.
Reign of Terror is the second album by Australian metalcore band Capture The Crown. This is the final album the band released with the name Capture the Crown before they changed their name to just Capture. The album was produced by both Matt Good and Taylor Larson from the band From First to Last, and was released through the record label Artery Recordings. The first single off the album, "To Whom It May Concern", was released on 9 June 2014. It is the last album to feature guitarists Kris Sheehan, Jye Menzies, and drummer, Tyler March, after their departures on 4 October 2014, as well as the first album to feature bassist Maurice Morfaw. Reign of Terror was re-released as a deluxe edition with the five tracks from the "Live Life" EP on 24 November. Retrograde is the third studio album by American metalcore band Crown the Empire. It was released on July 22, 2016, through Rise Records and was produced by Drew Fulk. The album debuted at number 15 on the Billboard 200. This is the first album the band released without lead guitarist Benn Suede, as well as the last album before co-lead vocalist Dave Escamilla left the band in January 2017.

The Silver Scream is the fifth studio album by the American heavy metal band Ice Nine Kills, released on October 5, 2018, by Fearless Records. Much like their previous album where all tracks were inspired by different novels, all the tracks are inspired by horror films. Some examples of the source material are; A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre ("Savages"). The album features guest appearances by the band's former singer Jeremy Schwartz, Tony Lovato of Mest, actress Chelsea Talmadge, Randy Strohmeyer of Finch, Buddy Schaub and Peter "JR" Wasilewski of Less Than Jake, Will Salazar of Fenix TX, and Stanley Kubrick's grandson Sam Kubrick of the UK band Shields. The album marked their highest chart positions in the US, debuting at number 29 on the Billboard 200 and number two on the Hard Rock Albums chart. "A Grave Mistake" became the band's first top ten hit on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts. This is the final album to feature guitarist and vocalist Justin DeBlieck, as well as bassist Justin Morrow, who departed from the band in March 2019 to join Motionless in White.
Immortal is the third studio album by American deathcore band Lorna Shore. It was released on January 31, 2020 through Century Media Records and was produced by Josh Schroeder. The album is the band's first studio release with the label. It is also their first studio release to not feature longtime vocalist Tom Barber, who left the band to join Chelsea Grin. It is the band's only studio album to feature vocalist CJ McCreery, who joined the band in 2018 and was fired in December 2019, a month before the album's release date.

It is the first release from the band without drummer/co-vocalist Pablo Viveros since their 2012 EP Evolve; Viveros has been on hiatus from the band since 2021 and had made commitments with another artist in the downtime during COVID-19 pandemic to perform and tour. They revealed he was still a member of the band, but would continue to take a hiatus from the band to fulfill his commitments, with session member Nathan Pearson taking his place.

It was released on March 17, 2023, as the second part of a double album split as two separate releases, with the first part, Suffer in Hell, previously released on November 11, 2022.
