The Eurovision Young Musicians 2026 is set to be the 22nd edition of the Eurovision Young Musicians, to be held in Yerevan, Armenia on 6 June 2026. [4] [5] [6] It will be organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) alongside host broadcaster Public Television Company of Armenia (AMPTV). [1] [2] [7]
On 21 October 2024, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the Public Television Company of Armenia (AMPTV) announced that they will host the Eurovision Young Musicians 2026 in Yerevan. [1] [2] The announcement came after Armenia made a return to the contest in 2024, marking their first participation in the contest in twelve years, [8] [9] choosing to hold a televised selection spanning several weeks at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. [10] This will be the first time that the Eurovision Young Musicians is hosted in Armenia. [11] [12]
As was the case in 2024, the EBU's official representative for the Eurovision Young Musicians Amelie Rossignol-Farjon announced that a maximum of eleven countries may participate in the contest. There is space for ten broadcasters from other countries alongside the host country's broadcaster. [13] However, in January 2026, it was revealed that the EBU was considering expanding the number of participating countries to twelve. [14]
As of February 2026, [update] ten countries confirmed their intention to participate in the contest. Cyprus, Latvia and Portugal are set to return after last participating in 2010, 2002 and 2014, respectively.
