Ewa Klamt (born 26 May 1950, Straubing) is a German politician who served as a Member of the European Parliament for Lower Saxony from 1999 until 2009. She is a member of the conservative Christian Democratic Union, part of the European People's Party. [1] From 2010 until 2013, she served as a member of the Bundestag, replacing Astrid Grotelüschen as representative of Delmenhorst – Wesermarsch – Oldenburg-Land.

Her term as prime minister ended on 16 November 2015, when she was succeeded by Beata Szydło.

Ewa Tomaszewska is a Polish politician who currently serves in the Sejm, and previously served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2007 to 2009. Born in Płock, she graduated from the University of Warsaw in 1974 with a degree in physics. She joined the Solidarity movement in 1980, and was an activist for the group through the 1980s. In 1983, she was arrested after attempting to place a plaque up at the Wujek Coal Mine, which was under martial law at the time as a result of the Pacification of Wujek. After being released the following year, she returned to Warsaw and became a research worker.

She was already a directly elected member of the German Bundestag from 2009 to 2010, and from April 2010 until her resignation in December of the same year, State Minister for Food, Agriculture, Consumer Protection and Regional Development of Lower Saxony.
