Expedition Robinson 2000, was the fourth edition of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Sweden and it aired in 2000. For the first time since season one when a tribe lost an immunity challenge it was up to that tribe to vote out one of their members.

Contents

The first twist of the season came about when the men and women competed in separate competitions to determine who would select tribes. Roxana and Edward won the challenges and the right to select their tribes. Another major twist this season occurred when two contestants known as 'wildcards' entered the game following the merge. The two wildcard contestants were Anne Hausmanis and Håkan Marklund. Because of Adnan's ejection from the game, Buba was allowed back into the game. Thanks to a little help from the wildcard contestants, the South Team's alliance was able to make it all the way to final four. Mattias Dalerstedt eventually won the season with a jury vote of 7–2 over Edward Lundberg. As there were only eight jury members, the ninth vote was cast by the public. The public voted for Edward. Expedition Robinson 1997 was the first version of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in the world. This season premiered on 13 September 1997. Martin Melin became the winner on 13 December 1997, with a jury vote of 6–2 over runner-up Kent Larsen.

Expedition Robinson 2002, was the sixth edition of the Swedish version of Expedition Robinson. As a special twist for the sixth season, the players were divided into tribes by gender with the exception of Camilla and Charles, who were deemed "leaders" of their respective tribes. Along with the title of leader came immunity. In episode four a tribal swap took place and there were no longer leaders and the immunity given to the original leaders was usurped. Another major twist this season was that of Utopia, a separate island. On Utopia, two competitors who had already been eliminated would compete for a chance to return to the game. Mariana eventually won the final island duel and was allowed back into the game. Antoni Matacz ultimately won the season with a jury vote of 5–4 over Mariana Dehlin.

Robinson: 2009, was the tenth version of Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Sweden and it premiered on 21 March 2009 and was the first season of the show to air since the show's initial cancellation in 2005. As a twist this season there were initially no tribes, instead contestants had to earn a spot on a tribe by surviving a challenge and the first tribal council. Another twist was that some of the contestants would have to compete in duels in order to avoid elimination. Ellenor Pierre eventually went on to win the season with a jury vote of 4–3 over Jarmo Heinonen.

Expedition Robinson 1998, was the second edition of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Sweden and it aired in 1998.

Expedition Robinson 1999, was the third edition of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Sweden and it aired in 1999.

Expedition Robinson 2001, was the fifth edition of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Sweden, airing in 2001. Prior to filming, the public was asked to choose two contestants, from a pool of six, that would join the game as jokers and coaches for their respective teams. Following the vote, both Bo Jonsson and Sara Aldrin entered the game. The major twist for this season was the tribal swap that took place after the duel in episode three. This season also saw the first "pre-first" vote exit which was taken by Maria Kjellström. The second twist of the season was introduced when it was time for the jury to vote: each finalist was allowed to pick three of the last nine contestants eliminated to vote for a winner. The other three votes would come from the public. Ultimately, it was Jan Emanuel Johansson who won the season with a jury vote of 7–2 over Jan Dinkelspiel. All three public votes went to Jan Emanuel Johansson.

Expedition Robinson: 2005, was the ninth version of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Sweden and it aired in 2005. The major twist this season was that the contestants were divided into tribes based on their annual salaries, with the North team being the "rich" team and the South team being the "poor" team. Another twist was that of the change in voting format, all contestants were given thirteen votes that they could use at any time and in any amount. Robert Drakwind, formerly known as Robert Andersson, returned to compete for a third time since 1999 along with his girlfriend, Anna Carin Wase. Both were "jokers" and did not enter the competition until episode 3. Both jokers became "chiefs" of one of the tribes and were given immunity at all pre-merge tribal councils, however from episode 4 on they could be challenged by any member of their tribe for the position of chief. If challenged, the chief and challenger would face off in a duel in which the winner would become chief and the loser would be eliminated from the competition. The final twist of the season was that of the "Finalist Island". Introduced in a challenge immediately preceding the merge, contestants would compete in a series of duels in which the winner would earn a spot on Finalist Island. The two contestants left on Finalist Island when only seven contestants were left would have immunity until the final four, while the remaining five contestants not on the island would have to compete for the two remaining spots. Karolina and Max were the last two contestants on Finalist Island. Ultimately, Karolina Conrad went on to win the season with a jury vote of 6–5 over Max Stjernfelt.

Expedition Robinson 2003, was the seventh version of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Sweden and it aired in 2003. Along with the twenty four official contestants, there was a twenty fifth contestant, Hildegard Krebbs who was forced to leave the competition in its pre-production stage. As this season was initially thought to be the show's last, the major twist for season was that it was to be an "Allstars" theme in which a tribe of former contestants known as the "Veterans", would take on a team of newcomers known as the "Challengers". Another twist was added midway through the pre-merge stage of the competition, a pair twist. As part of the pair twist the contestants were grouped, competed, and voted out in pairs, however following their initial elimination the two members of the pair would compete in a duel, the winner of which would stay secluded from most of the other contestants on an island, known as "Utopia", in order to compete in a series of duels to re-enter the competition. Throughout the post-merge duration of the game, contestants, both in the game and in Utopia, would continuously swap locations based on challenge results. As a final twist eight more votes would be distributed among the two finalists based on the percent they received in a public poll. In the end, Emma Andersson won the season with a jury vote of 11–5 over Mille Lansburgh. Andersson received six of the eight public votes having garnered seventy five percent of the vote.

This season began airing on September 5, 2004 and concluded on November 28, 2004. The major twist this season was that the team tribes were divided up by participants country of origin with one tribe, België (Belgium), being composed of contestants from Belgium and one tribe, Nederlands (Netherlands), being composed of contestants from the Netherlands. Another major twist this season came to light in episode 1, when after an initial elimination challenge the two eliminated contestants, Ernestine Schweig and Sarah Bleecker, were told that instead of being eliminated they were going to live in an area known as the "Mangrove". From then on, any contestant that either lost a challenge or voted out were sent to the Mangrove. Throughout the competition many contestants living in the Mangrove were given opportunities to re-enter the game, however it was not until episode 9, when the contestants living in the Mangrove won a challenge against the merge tribe, known as Teluk, in order to re-enter the game. Another twist that occurred this season was that of a tribal swap which took place in episode 4. Following the Mangrove contestants return to the game, a power struggle ensued between the Belgian and Dutch contestants. Ultimately, it was Belgian contestant Frank Meulder who won the season over fellow Belgian Matthias Verscheure with an overwhelming majority jury vote of 10-2. Like the previous season, the public was asked to vote in case of a tie. The public, like most of the jury, voted in favor of Frank.

The season began airing on September 5, 2005, and concluded on November 28, 2005. The major twist this season was that the tribes were initially divided up by the participants' ages. The Jong (Young) tribe was composed of the contestants age 30 and under and the Oud (Old) tribe was composed of contestants over the age of 40. Unbeknownst to the original tribes, there was a secret third tribe that consisted of two contestants, Esther Jacobs and Marnix Allegaert, who were in their 30s, who lived in an area known as "Secret Island". These two contestants were soon joined by Douwe Popma, who had been voted out immediately after a challenge. In episode 4, the two original teams were dismantled and the remaining players were mixed up into new tribes known as the North and South teams. With these new tribes, all who had previously been living on the Secret island joined one of the two new tribes in the game and Nicole Hendriks, who had been eliminated in the previous episode, re-entered the game as a replacement for the large number of contestants who had left the game. Along with the new tribes came tribal leaders, who were elected in each episode and were immune at tribal council.

Expeditie Robinson: 2006, was the eighth Dutch/Belgian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries. This season began airing on August 28, 2006 and concluded on November 20, 2006. The major twist this season was that the tribes were initially divided up by gender with one "All-Star" contestant joining each tribe. These two All-Stars were, Klaar Lippe and Robin Ibens. Though the main twist may have seemed like a repeat of twists that occurred in previous seasons, unlike previous seasons with a similar twist this season male contestants were from Belgium and all females from the Netherlands. While the All-Star contestants weren't eligible to win, they could vote and following a tribal swap in episode 4, they could give any contestant on their tribe immunity at tribal council. Following the merge in episode 8, the twist that was "Losers Island", was introduced to the game. After a contestant was eliminated they would be sent to Losers island where they would wait until there were only two contestants left in the game at which point the six contestants on the island would vote for one of their own to return. When it came time to vote for a winner, the public, instead of a jury decided the winner. In the end, it was Olga Urashova who returned from Losers island in the final three, who won the season over Lenny Janssen with a public vote of 52% to Lenny's 48%.
