Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium formerly known as the Estadi de Montjuïc and Estadi Olímpic de Montjuïc and also known in English as the Barcelona Olympic Stadium, is a stadium in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Originally built in 1927 for the 1929 International Exposition in the city, it was renovated in 1989 to be the main stadium for the 1992 Summer Olympics and 1992 Summer Paralympics. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of FC Barcelona since the 2023–24 season, due to the renovation of their regular ground, the Camp Nou. The stadium is named after Lluís Companys, the president of Catalonia during the Spanish Civil War.
Club Esportiu Europa is a Catalan football team based in the city of Barcelona, with close links to the Vila de Gràcia, in the autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. Founded in 1907, its first men's team plays in the Segunda Federación – Group 3, the fourth category of Spanish football. The first women's team is active in the Segunda Federación, the third category of Spanish football. Moreover, Europa B is active in the Tercera Federación, the fifth tier, and the first U-19 team participates in the División de Honor, the highest category in Spain. Europa's home games are played at the Nou Sardenya, with a capacity of 4,000 seats.

The Mediterranean League, also referred to as the Lliga Mediterrània (Catalan), the Liga Mediterránea (Spanish) or La Liga del Mediterráneo, was a football league played in the Republican area of Spain during the Spanish Civil War. The league, played out in early 1937, was won by FC Barcelona. Clubs from the league also competed in a cup competition, the Copa de la España Libre. By 1938 the Republican area was divided and a second Mediterranean League season proved impossible to organise. However an alternative Lliga Catalana, also won by FC Barcelona, was arranged.

It was their only non-consecutive season in the Segunda División, and the only time they competed in the second tier following relegation. Their fourth time winning their group of the second tier, they maintained their 100% league leaders record in the division, as well as setting the record for the most Segunda División league titles. As of 2024, it is the last time they were not in the top flight.
