Faisal Javed Khan (born 26 January 1981) is a Pakistani politician who was a Member of the Senate of Pakistan,from March 2018 to March 2024. He was also elected as Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting. Senator Faisal Javed Khan is the most followed Senator in Pakistan on Twitter. [1]
Faisal Javed Khan began his political career in 1996 [2] with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). [3] He has hosted more than 500 PTI political rallies across Pakistan and known as the "Voice of PTI". [2]
As of February 2018,he was serving as a member of the core and central executive committees of the PTI and its central additional secretary information. Khan has also campaigned for PTI Chief Imran Khan in 1997,2002,2013 and 2018 general elections. [2] Faisal Javed Khan spoke at the European Parliament as a part of Parliamentarians from European Union member states and 18 Asian countries in the two day Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP) meetings that debated the environmental challenges faced by Asia and Europe. [4] He also moderated Imran Khan's big rally at Capital One Arena in the downtown Washington,DC in 2019. [5]
Faisal Javed Khan was elected to the Senate of Pakistan as a candidate of PTI on general seat from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2018 Pakistani Senate election. [6] [7] He took oath as Senator on 12 March 2018. [8]

Khan,as an Advertising and marketing specialist,had been associated with the field of Production,Advertising and Media for more than 17 years.
Khan had also been a radio broadcaster and producer for a decade from 2001 to 2011.

Latif Khosa is a Pakistani lawyer and politician who is an advocate in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He served as the Governor of Punjab from 2011 to 2013. He is the incumbent Member of National Assembly Pakistan from NA-122 Lahore since 10 February 2024. He was a senator from 2003 to 2009,the attorney general of Pakistan in 2008 to 2009 and the Federal advisor of Information Technology &Telecommunication from 2009 to 2010. Khosa also remained a member of the Pakistan Bar Council and served as its Executive Committee's chairman. He co-authored an electoral fraud report with former prime minister Benazir Bhutto shortly before her assassination in December 2007. Khosa had been one of Bhutto's aides. Khosa joined PTI in 2023.

General elections were held in Pakistan on Saturday 11 May 2013 to elect the members of the 14th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. The three major parties were the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) led by Nawaz Sharif,the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) led by President Asif Ali Zardari and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Imran Khan. Prior to the elections,the ruling PPP formed an alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and Awami National Party,while the main opposition party,the PML-N allied with the Pakistan Muslim League (F) and Baloch parties. The PTI led by cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan,also emerged as a key-player.
General elections were held in Pakistan on 25 July 2018 to elect the members of the 15th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. The three major parties were Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI),led by Imran Khan,the Pakistan Muslim League,led by Shehbaz Sharif,and the Pakistan People's Party,led by Bilawal Bhutto. The PTI won the most seats in the National Assembly but fell short of a majority;the party subsequently formed a coalition government with several smaller parties. At the provincial level,the PTI remained the largest party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP);the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) retained its dominance in Sindh;and the newly formed Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) emerged as the largest party in Balochistan. In Punjab,the result was a hung parliament,with the Pakistan Muslim League (N) winning the most seats. However,after several independent MPAs joined the PTI,the latter became the largest party and was able to form a government.
The 2014 Tsunami March,also called the Azadi movement,was a protest march in Pakistan from 14 August to 17 December 2014. The march was organized by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) against the Pakistani government of Nawaz Sharif. PTI claimed systematic election-rigging in the 2013 general election,and PAT demanded justice for the culprits in the 2014 Lahore clash. Then PTI chairman Imran Khan had announced plans for an August march from Lahore to Islamabad with a group of protesters in a PTI jalsa (demonstration) in Bahawalpur on 27 June 2014. On 17 December,a day after the 2014 Peshawar school massacre,Khan called off the protest.
The triennial Senate Electionsof Pakistan were held on 3 March 2018 to replace 52 retiring senators - half of the Senate's strength - with the winning candidates serving six-year terms. Overall,Pakistan Muslim League (N) came out as the largest party,followed by the Pakistan Peoples Party and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. The results of these elections were steeped in controversy due to rampant allegations of horse trading and vote-buying,which lead to the Prime Minister and opposition leader Imran Khan calling for reforms. By-elections were held on 8 National Assembly and 3 Punjab Assembly constituencies in Pakistan on 16 October 2022 and 1 National Assembly seat on 30 October 2022. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf got a landslide victory by winning 7 out of 9 National Assembly and 2 out of 3 Punjab Assembly seats whereas the Pakistan Democratic Movement,an alliance of 14 parties,was only able to win 2 National Assembly seats and 1 Punjab Assembly seat.
On 3 November 2022,Imran Khan,a former prime minister of Pakistan and chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political party,was shot in an attempted assassination in Wazirabad,Punjab,during the 2022 Azadi March II against the Pakistan government. The gunman also injured a number of other PTI leaders and killed a supporter. The attacker's name is Muhammad Naveed and another unidentified gunman was killed.
