Taisto Kalevi Sorsa was a Finnish politician who served as Prime Minister of Finland three times: 1972–1975, 1977–1979 and 1982–1987. At the time of his death he still held the record for most days of incumbency as Finnish prime minister. He was also a long-time leader of the Social Democratic Party of Finland.
Nenets is a pair of closely related languages spoken in northern Russia by the Nenets people. They are often treated as being two dialects of the same language, but they are very different and mutual intelligibility is low. The languages are Tundra Nenets, which has a higher number of speakers, spoken by some 30,000 to 40,000 people in an area stretching from the Kanin Peninsula to the Yenisei River, and Forest Nenets, spoken by 1,000 to 1,500 people in the area around the Agan, Pur, Lyamin and Nadym rivers.
Frölunda Hockey Club, previously known as the Frölunda Indians, is a Swedish professional ice hockey club based in Gothenburg. They currently play in the highest Swedish league, the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), formerly the Elitserien, where they have played for most of the club's existence. They last played in the lower division, the Allsvenskan, in 1995. Frölunda have won the national championship title five times: in 1965, 2003, 2005, 2016 and 2019.
The Pekka Rautakallio trophy is an ice hockey award given by the Finnish Liiga to the best defenceman of the season. In 1995 the award was renamed to carry the name of its first winner Pekka Rautakallio. In 2019 it was awarded to Oliwer Kaski of Pelicans.

Harri Tapani Kirvesniemi is a Finnish former cross-country skier who competed from 1980 to 2001. During his career he won six Olympic medals, and also the 50 km event at the Holmenkollen ski festival in 2000. He retired after being caught doping at the 2001 World Championship in Lahti.

The district was established in 1960 by the merger of Vaasa Province North and Vaasa Province South districts. It is conterminous with the regions of Central Ostrobothnia, Ostrobothnia and South Ostrobothnia. The district currently elects 16 of the 200 members of the Parliament of Finland using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. Arkkitehti is a Finnish architectural journal, which has been published since 1903. It was originally published only in Swedish, Arkitekten, as a supplement to the journal Tekniska Föreningen [The Engineering Society of Finland]. The journal's first editor was Bertel Jung, secretary of the Architects' Club. The journal ceased publication during the Finnish Civil War (1918), but reappeared in both Swedish and Finnish versions in 1921, since when it has appeared regularly, initially 12 times a year and currently 6 times a year. It is currently published as a bilingual journal, with texts in Finnish and English. Architectural Competitions in Finland is published as a supplement to the journal.
