The Finance functional constituency,formerly called the Financial functional constituency,is a functional constituency in the elections for the Legislative Council of Hong Kong first created in 1985. It was one of the 12 original functional constituency seats created for the first ever Legislative Council election in 1985 and was divided into Finance and Financial Services in 1991. It has the fewest electorates among all constituencies,composing of 114 banks and deposit-taking companies as corporate electors. [2]
Since its creation,it had held by David Li,chairman of the Bank of East Asia,uncontestedly with the exception of 2000 Legislative Council election which was the only election held in the constituency. Li retired from the office in 2012 and was replaced by Ng Leung-sing. Since 2016,it has been represented by Chan Chun-ying,the former board secretary of the state-owned Bank of China (Hong Kong). [3]

The 2011 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 6 November 2011. Elections were held to all 18 District Councils of Hong Kong, returning 412 members from directly elected constituencies, each selecting a council member. After the government's constitutional reform package was passed in 2010, five new seats in the Legislative Council would be created in which the candidates would be nominated by all District Councillors.
The Legal functional constituency is a functional constituency in the elections for the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It was the one of the first 12 original functional constituency seats created for the first ever Legislative Council election in 1985.
The Education functional constituency, formerly called Teaching from 1985 to 1995, is a functional constituency in the elections for the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It was one of the 12 functional constituency seats created for the 1985 Legislative Council election. Since 1998, It has been the functional constituency with the most registered voters, including registered teachers, principals, managers of schools, full-time academic staff, members of the councils of the universities in Hong Kong and board of governors of the institutes of higher educations. In 2020, it had 85,698 registered voters, as compared to the Finance constituency who had only 121 voters.
The Medical functional constituency was a functional constituency in the elections for the Legislative Council of Hong Kong first created as one of the 12 functional constituency seats created for the 1985 Legislative Council election. It corresponds to the Medical Subsector in the Election Committee. Electors include all medical participators and dentists. It was combined with Health Services into Medical and Health Services functional constituency in the major electoral overhaul in 2021.

The constituency is composed of 760 financial services participants. These are, specifically, corporate members of the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society entitled to vote at general meetings, and participants of other exchange societies.

It has the second largest voter base in the functional constituencies after Education functional constituency.
