In the 2014–15 season they won the CEV Champions League and that gave them the ticket to capture the 2015 FIVB World Club Championship in Zürich, a year later the club became the first club in the world to win the FIVB World Club Championship back-to-back by defending their crown in the Philippines during the 2016 FIVB World Club Championship in Manila. Eczacıbaşı VitrA is the most successful Turkish volleyball club with 28 national championship titles overall since the introduction of a national league in 1956.

The 1977 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the tenth edition of the event, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball. It was hosted in several cities in Finland from 25 September to 2 October 1977, with the final round held in Tampere.

The Finland men's national volleyball team is the national volleyball team of Finland. It is governed by the Finland Volleyball Association and takes part in international volleyball competitions. The team's best results to date are fourth place at the European Championships 2007 and ninth place at the 2014 World Championships. After a one-off appearance in 1993, Finland rejoined the FIVB World League in 2006 and has been part of the competition ever since, making this year’s entry their 12th consecutive. Their best finish to date has been seventh place in 2007.

The 2021 Men's European Volleyball Championship was the 32nd edition of the Men's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, CEV. For the second time, the EuroVolley was held in four countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia and Finland. The number of national teams that participated in the event remained to 24.

The 2020 Boys' U18 Volleyball European Championship was the 14th edition of the Boys' Youth European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to be hosted jointly by Italy and Greece, but the latter gave up the hosting right. The tournament was held in Lecce and Marsicovetere, Italy from 5 to 13 September 2020. The top six teams of the tournament qualified for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship as the CEV representatives.

The Women's U22 European Volleyball Championship is a sport competition for volleyball national teams with players under 22 years, currently held biannually and organized by the European Volleyball Confederation, the volleyball federation from Europe. As of the 2024 edition, the CEV will align the age limit for the men's and women's competitions to U22.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2023 Women's European Volleyball Championship</span> Volleyball competition

The 2023 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 33rd edition of the Women's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball. For the third consecutive time, it was held in four countries: Belgium, Estonia, Germany and Italy. The top three teams of the tournament qualified for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship as the CEV representative, except Serbia who had already qualified as the defending world champions.
