Hayley Wickenheiser is a Canadian former ice hockey player, resident physician and assistant general manager for the Toronto Maple Leafs. She was the first woman to play full-time professional men’s hockey in a position other than goalie. Wickenheiser was a member of Canada women's national ice hockey team for 23 years, from 1994 until announcing her retirement on January 13, 2017, and is the team's career points leader with 168 goals and 211 assists in 276 games. She represented Canada at the Winter Olympics five times, capturing four gold and one silver medal and twice being named tournament MVP, and one time at the Summer Olympics in softball, and is a seven-time winner of the world championships. She is tied with teammates Caroline Ouellette and Jayna Hefford for the record for the most gold medals of any Canadian Olympian, and is widely considered to be the greatest female ice hockey player of all time. On February 20, 2014, Wickenheiser was elected to the International Olympic Committee's Athletes' Commission. In 2019, she was named to the Hockey Hall of Fame, in her first year of eligibility. She was also inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2019.

The North Battleford Access Communications Centre, formerly known as the Civic Centre, is a 2,500-seat multi-purpose arena in North Battleford, Saskatchewan built in 1962. It is home to the Battlefords North Stars ice hockey team. It is also home to the North Battleford Kinsmen Indoor Rodeo, held annually every April.
W. David King is a retired Canadian ice hockey coach. He coached professional teams in the National Hockey League (NHL), the Russian Super League, the Kontinental Hockey League, and the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, as well as junior and amateur teams in the Western Hockey League and in U Sports. Internationally, he coached the Canadian national team at the IIHF World Junior Championships and several Winter Olympics. He was made a Member of the Order of Canada (CM) in 1992, was inducted into the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame in 1997, and was inducted into the the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2001. In recognition of his contributions to the game with its national teams, Hockey Canada named him to the Order of Hockey in Canada in 2013.
Therese Brisson is a Canadian former ice hockey player. Brisson played for the Canadian National and Olympic women's ice hockey team from 1993 to 2005. Brisson was a member of Team Canada’s gold medal winning team at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. She helped Canada win six World Championships in 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2004. She earned a silver medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, which marked the first time that women’s hockey was played on an Olympic level.

Zuzana Tomčíková is a Slovak retired ice hockey and ball hockey goaltender, currently working as a sports specialist with the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee. She was a member of the Slovak women's national ice hockey team from age 12 to 26, and represented Slovakia in the 2010 Winter Olympics and at several IIHF Women's World Championships. As a member of the Slovak women's national ball hockey team, she won silver medals at the Ball Hockey World Championship in 2009 and 2013, bronze in 2015, and placed fourth in 2017.
France Saint-Louis is a Canadian ice hockey coach and retired player. She was a member of the Canadian women's national ice hockey team for nearly a decade, winning gold medals at five IIHF Women's World Championships and a silver medal at the inaugural women's ice hockey tournament at the 1998 Winter Olympics. At the age of 40, she retired from the Canadian Olympic Program to launch her own hockey school. She served as a consultant to the Montreal Carabins women's ice hockey program from 2008 to 2016 and currently teaches at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal.
Iveta Frühaufnée Karafiátová is a Slovak retired ice hockey forward. She played with the Slovak national team at nine IIHF World Women's Championships across the Top Division, Division 1, and Division 2, and represented Slovakia in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games.
Martina Rašková Veličková, is a Slovak women’s ice hockey forward, most recently of ŽHK Šarišanka Prešov in the 2017–18 season of the Slovak Women's Extraliiga. She served as captain of the Slovak national team in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.

Emerance Maschmeyer is a Canadian ice hockey goaltender for the Ottawa PWHL team. She is a member of Canada women's national ice hockey team, with whom she won the 2021 IIHF Women's World Championship and the 2022 Winter Olympics gold medal. She first made her debut with Team Canada at the 2014 4 Nations Cup.
