The First Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ministry (or also known as 22ndministry of Andhra Pradesh) of the state of Andhra Pradesh was formed on 14 May 2004 headed by Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy as the Chief Minister following the 2004 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. [1] 24 member ministry was formed on 22 May 2004. [2]
The council of ministry was initially formed with 25 members including the chief minister. Later expanded on 26 April 2007 with 17 members taking the total number of members in the council to 41. [3]
Prior to 2004 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections a pre-poll alliance was formed by the Indian National Congress, Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Communist Party of India and Communist Party of India (Marxist) to contest in the elections against the sole incumbent contender Telugu Desam Party. [4] The pre-poll alliance succeeded in forming a new government in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy formed a council of ministers consisting of 24 members initially and later expanding it twice once to induct the alliance partner TRS into the cabinet and several other members. [5] Pre-poll partner TRS joined the government with six ministers and quit the government later citing differences due to the Telangana issue with the Indian National Congress. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi, formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi, is an Indian political party which is predominantly active in the state of Telangana and currently the primary opposition party in the state. It was founded on 27 April 2001 by K. Chandrashekar Rao, with a single-point agenda of creating a separate Telangana state with Hyderabad as its capital. It has been instrumental in carrying forth a sustained agitation for the granting of statehood to Telangana.
Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy, popularly known as YSR was an Indian politician. He served as the 14th chief minister of Andhra Pradesh from 2004 to 2009. Reddy was elected four times to the Lok Sabha from Kadapa and to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for six terms from the Pulivendula, winning every election he contested.

He is the president of the Indian political party, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). He is also the son of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
The 2009 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election took place in April 2009, concurrently with the 2009 Indian general election. The elections were held in the state in the first phase on 16 April 2009 and the second phase on 23 April 2009. The results were declared on 16 May 2009 The incumbent Indian National Congress retained power in the United Andhra Pradesh State Assembly lower house, though with a reduced majority. The Congress Legislature party re-elected incumbent Chief minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy as its leader thus re-nominating him to the post.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party, often shortened to simply the YSR Congress Party, is an Indian regional political party based in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Its president, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, has previously served as the state's chief minister. It currently has 4 seats in the Lok Sabha.
Duddilla Sridhar Babu is an Indian politician from Indian National Congress and is a member of the Telangana Assembly from Manthani Constituency, Peddapalli district which he won for the fifth time as MLA in December 2023. He is a senior Minister in the Telangana Government holding the crucial portfolios of Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Industry & Commerce and Legislative Affairs. Sridhar Babu is one of the senior most leaders in the Telangana Congress Party, and is an AICC All India Congress Committee Secretary attached to the AICC General Secretary, in charge of Karnataka since July 2022.He was the Minister for Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs, Legal Metrology and Legislative Affairs in the United Government of Andhra Pradesh prior to that state being divided.
The Telangana protests 2004-2010 refers to the movements and agitations related to the Telangana movement that took place between the years 2004 and 2010. For the 2004 Assembly and Parliament elections, the Congress party and the TRS had an electoral alliance in the Telangana region to consider the demand of separate Telangana State. However, again in 2006, the then Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy categorically said that the state would remain united. This again resulted in statewide protests. In 2009, Union Minister of Home Affairs P. Chidambaram announced that the Indian government would start the process of forming a separate Telangana state, pending the introduction and passage of a separation resolution in the Andhra Pradesh assembly after an 11-day fast by K. Chandrashekar Rao. This again resulted in protests across both Andhra and Rayalseema as in a short time of the Home Minister's declaration, MLAs from the Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions submitted their resignations in protest.
Yeduguri Sandinti Sharmila Reddy, commonly referred to as Y. S. Sharmila, is an Indian politician serving as 24th and current president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, a unit of Indian National Congress political party. She is the younger sister of Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and the daughter of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and Y. S. Vijayamma.
Free electricity to farmers is a subsidised free electricity scheme provided by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. It was the dream concept of Late Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy. Green Andhra Pradesh was his vision. It provides 7 hours of power to the fields in a day. It has spent about 6000 crores in 2013.

The Second N. Chandrababu Naidu ministry of the state of Andhra Pradesh was formed on 11 October 1999 headed by N. Chandrababu Naidu as the Chief Minister following the 1999 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election. The cabinet was sworn in a simple ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad. Initially the chief minister and eight other ministers of his council of ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy by the then Governor C. Rangarajan.
Devireddy Sudheer Reddy is an Indian politician elected to Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 2009 and Telangana Legislative Assembly in 2018 for the Lal Bahadur Nagar constituency. Reddy won the seat against Mudda Ram Mohan Goud of BRS by 17,848 votes, with the former polling 113,980 votes and the latter 96,132. Previously, he served as the Chairman of the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority from 2004 to 2008. He was appointed Musi River Development Front Corporation Limited Chairman by Telangana government in February, 2020 for a period of three years.
Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha, upper house of the Parliament of India from Andhra Pradesh in the 2020 Rajyasabha elections as a member of the YSR Congress Party.
The YSR Telangana Party was a recognised Indian regional political party in the state of Telangana. It was founded by Y. S. Sharmila, the daughter of the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy at Hyderabad on 8 July 2021.
The Maha Kutami was an alliance formed ahead of the 2009 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and general elections. It was formed on 21 January 2009 by four political parties — the Telugu Desam Party, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Communist Party of India. It was formed with the sole aim of dethroning the then-Indian National Congress government in the state, which was led by then-chief minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
