Maharajgunj is one of the old neighbourhoods in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
There are many shops which cater to all the needs of the people. Maharaj Gunj was the jagir village of family of Maharaj Chandulal who lived around 1860 AD and was peishakar and then PM of Nizams. Subsequently it was jagir village of maharaja Kishen pershad Bahadur, PM of Nizam VI. Nearby Kishan gunj is named after him. The banking firm Hiranand Ramsukh Inani family was designated by said jagirdar to be their treasurers for their jagir villages at maharaj Gunj, Hyderabad and Madnoor village, presently in Nizamabad Dist of T.S. A temple known as Sri Raghunath, Pandharinath, Hanuman Temple on a sprawling plot of land was constructed by merchants of Maharaj Gunj somewhere around 1850 AD. The grain merchants of maharaj Gunj purchased a land in 1971 AD and started Sri Savithri kanya unnatha Pathashala on this land.

Bagh Lingampally is a commercial and residential neighbourhood of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It has become one of the many major centres of Hyderabad. Lingampalli.It was earlier known as Lingampalli Bagh, which contained a royal palace with a compound of 55 acres, with 130 acres around it. Lingampalli Bagh was given as a wedding present by the 5th Nizam, Nawab Afzal-ud-Dowla Bahadur when his daughter Shehzadi Haseen unnisa married Nawab Khursheed Jah Bahadur, H.E. Paigah Amir Nawab Sir Khursheed Jah Bahadur, the second greatest Paigah nobleman of Hyderabad Deccan. A little portion of the palace remains today...in what is Ambedkar College inside Lingampalli Bagh. The bagh was acquired by the Housing Board A.P., in the sixties. Furthermore, the palace had a tunnel leading to Golconda Fort. This was a property belonging to the Nizams and was given to Haseen Unnisa Begum, wife of Sir Khursheed Jah, by her father Nawab Afzal-ud-Dowla, Asaf Jah V, at the time of her wedding. She was also the sister of H.H Nawab Mahboob Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VI. This locality was also home to one of the Nobility of Hyderabad, Khan Bahadur Abdulkareem Lal Khan, Former Kotwal in the 7th Nizams Government. This area used to be full of fruit gardens belonging to them, from where the prefix ‘Bagh' is derived. The place had a small village called Lingampally which had a tank where queens would bathe. The locality has gained importance due to its proximity to RTC X Roads, Chikkadpally, Barkatpura, Himayathnagar, Nallakunta and Koti. This suburb is a mixture of the Old and New City cultures of Hyderabad. There is a vegetable market on Saturdays.

Manik Prabhu Maharaj was an Indian Hindu saint, philosopher, poet and guru. He is also regarded as an incarnation of Dattatreya by the people of Datta Sampraday. Prabhu's philosophy, the Sakala mata Siddhanta rests on the principles of Advaita Vedanta as propagated by Adi Sankara. Shri Prabhu strongly advocated the essential oneness of all religions. Prabhu's Muslim devotees revered him as an incarnation of Mehboob Subhani whereas his Lingayat devotees saw him as a form of Basavanna. Shri Prabhu composed numerous bhajans and padas in various languages such as Marathi, Kannada, Hindi, Urdu and Sanskrit. Shri Prabhu was also associated with the First War of Indian Independence in 1857. Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi, Shri Swami Samarth of Akkalkot, Shri Bramhachaitanya of Gondavale and many other contemporary saints are believed to have visited Maniknagar to interact with Prabhu on matters of deep spiritual wisdom. Biographers refer to Shri Prabhu as a saint of great spirituality and mysticism. Shri Prabhu's teachings emphasize the path of Bhakti. He also moralized on the vedantic truths concerning the spiritual unity of beings. Manik Nagar, Humnabad, Bidar District is the place where he took sanjeevani samadhi. Shri Prabhu's samadhi at Maniknagar is the nucleus of Manik Nagar and acts as the spiritual center of the activities of Shri Manik Prabhu Samsthan.
The 1911 Delhi Durbar was held in December 1911 following the coronation in London in June of that year of King George V and Queen Mary. The King and Queen travelled to Delhi for the Durbar. For the occasion, the statutory limits of the membership of the Order of the Star of India and the Order of the Indian Empire were increased and many appointments were made to these and other orders. These honours were published in a supplement to the London Gazette dated 8 December 1911.
Sham Raj II, ,, was an Indian noble who served as a member of H. E. H the Nizam's Executive Council. He was the first Hindu member in the executive council. Some of the ancestors of Sham Raj Bahadur were themselves peshkars and diwan to the Nizams and still earlier their family served at various points in their career to Shah Jahan, the Mughal Emperor. A member of the powerful Rai Rayan family, Sham Raj built a magnificent personal library inside his palace containing 45,000 rare books, which he later generously opened to public.
