Transport

Red Hills is well-connected by the buses, TSRTC, that play on two routes which cover all the bus stops there. Their local train station for MMTS trains are LAKDI-KA-POOL and NAMPALLY.

Major institutions

The area houses famous Niloufer Hospital - founded by the Ottoman princess Nilüfer Hanımsultan, the wife of one of the son of 7th Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan [1] [2] and major cancer hospital MNJ Cancer Hospital. [3] The Federation of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTAPCCI) is also located here. [4]

Niloufer Hospital is housed in a building in the heart of historic Hyderabad and has an interesting past. This reputed institution was founded in 1949 by the Princess Niloufer. Princess Niloufer was the daughter of a princess of the former Ottoman Empire (Turkey) and was married to prince Moazzam Jah- son of 7th Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan - of Hyderabad Deccan in 1931. Just like Florence Nightingale, the princess had a liking to serve the poor and also took to serving the poor as a nurse.

Nawab Mehdi Nawaz Jung was an Indian bureaucrat and was Secretary to the Executive Council during the Nizam rule. He also served as the Governor of Gujarat from 1960 to 1965.

The Medak District bus-train collision took place on the morning of 24 July 2014 at Masaipet in the Medak district of Telangana state in India. A bus ferrying at least 40 children to school collided with the Nanded-Hyderabad Passenger at an unmanned level crossing.

Telangana Housing Board earlier known as City Improvement Board is public sector corporation under Government of Telangana located in Hyderabad, Telangana.
