The Hyderabad Metropolitan Region is the metropolitan area covered by the city of Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana. The region is spread over the districts of Hyderabad, Bhuvanagiri, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy, Medak, and Siddipet. Under the jurisdiction of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, it covers an area of 7,257 km2 (2,802 sq mi) and has a population of 11 million people. [7]

Jurisdiction

The areas under Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority include districts of Hyderabad district, Medchal district, part of Rangareddy district, Bhuvanagiri district, Sangareddy district, Medak district and Siddipet district.[3] The metropolitan region covers seven districts, 70 mandals, and 1032 villages, including Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation which consists of 175 villages and 12 municipalities / nagar panchayats consisting of 31 villages.

Tandur is a town, Municipality and Mandal in Vikarabad district in the Indian State of Telangana. It is a municipality consisting of 36 wards, as well as the headquarters of Tandur Mandal in the Tandur Revenue Division. It is known for its production of Limestone, Cement, and Redgram . Drinking water is sourced from the River Kagna, a tributary of the Bhima River, which is 4 km from the town. Gajwel, officially Gajwel–Pragnapur, is a town and a municipality in Siddipet district of the Indian state of Telangana. The jurisdiction of the civic body is spread over an area of 49.00 km2 (18.92 sq mi). Gajwel, located about 53 km from Hyderabad on the Rajiv highway, is one of the fastest-developing towns in Telangana. It serves as a major political center and is the home constituency of the former Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrashekar Rao. Gajwel has seen development in various sectors, including infrastructure projects like the Outer Ring Road (ORR) construction. The ORR, spanning approximately 21.92 kilometers, connects Gajwel with cities such as Hyderabad, Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, and Nizamabad, improving connectivity and facilitating smoother travel.

It is a 4 lane, 340-kilometre-long (210 mi) road, planned on strengthening the existing road network and by adding new stretches wherever linkages were found missing. National Highways Authority of India has included Regional Ring road in the pan-India Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-2. It helps connect the districts around city of Hyderabad. It helps in linking major national highways like NH 65, NH 44, NH 163, NH 765.
