Flipturn, stylized as flipturn, is an American indie rock band from Fernandina Beach, Florida formed in 2015. [3] The band consists of founding members Dillon Basse (vocals), Tristan Duncan (guitar) and Madeline Jarman (bass) who founded the band as high school seniors. After their college years at the University of Florida, they picked up guitarist and synthesizer player Mitch Fountain, and drummer Devon VonBalson. [1]

Contents

flipturn gained traction in 2018 with their EP Citrona. [4] The band signed to Dualtone Records in June 2022. [5] They released their debut album Shadowglow in August 2022, which received positive reception. [6] [4] The album release was followed by a tour through the United States in late 2022 into 2023 and the prestigious lineups of Lollapalooza, Governor’s Ball, Bonnaroo, Shaky Knees & SXSW.. [7]

In November 2023, the band announced its Something More tour due to take place in spring 2024, with support from indie folk/rock band Richy Mitch and the Coal Miners. [8]

On January 20, 2016, Entertainment One acquired Dualtone Records. Later, Dualtone's parent company eOne Music was acquired by The Blackstone Group in June 2021, with eOne Music rebranded as MNRK Music Group in September 2021.

Mt. Joy is an American five-piece indie rock band based in Los Angeles with roots in Philadelphia. The band debuted in 2016 with their single "Astrovan", recorded in Los Angeles by Quinn, Cooper, and Byrnes. Boygenius is an American indie supergroup consisting of American singer-songwriters Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus. They debuted with their self-titled EP in 2018, and then returned after a hiatus with their debut studio album, The Record (2023), which was both a critical and commercial success, winning the members three Grammy Awards. Labeled an "instant classic" by NME, it topped the charts in the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands, and peaked at number four on the U.S. Billboard 200. Their second EP, The Rest, was released on October 13, 2023. The group is currently on hiatus.

Wilderado is an American indie folk band from Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States. The band was first signed to Iamsound Records, but is now signed to Bright Antenna Records.
