Flora Ugwunwa (born 26 June 1984) [1] is a Nigerian Paralympic athlete competing in F54-classification events. [2] She won the gold medal in the women's javelin throw F54 event at the 2016 Summer Paralympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She won silver in this event at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, France. [3]
Ugwunwa represented Nigeria at the 2016 Summer Paralympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and she won the gold medal in the women's javelin throw F54 event. [2] She also set a new world record of 20.25m at this event. [4]
Ugwunwa represented Nigeria at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan after winning the silver medal in the women's javelin throw F54 event at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. [5] She also competed in the women's shot put F54 event where she finished in 6th place. [1]
Hania Aidi is a Paralympian athlete from Tunisia competing mainly in category F54 javelin throw events. Aidi has competed at four consecutive Summer Paralympics, winning silver medals at three of the Games. She is also a three time World Championships winner medalist and has held the F54 javelin world record on numerous occasions throughout her career.

Panama sent a delegation to compete at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7–18 September 2016. This was the nation's seventh time competing in the Summer Paralympic Games after it first entered the movement at the 1992 Summer Paralympics. The Panamanian delegation to Rio de Janeiro consisted of two athletes: shot put thrower Francisco Cedeño Almengor and javelin thrower Iveth Valdes Romero. Almengor ranked eleventh out of twelve athletes in the men's shot put F54–55 competition and Romero placed in the same position in the women's javelin F55–F56 event.
Francisca Mardones is a Chilean Paralympic athlete and former wheelchair tennis player. She has competed at both the 2012 and 2016 Summer Paralympics in tennis, before retiring in 2017 to concentrate on athletics.
