The Football West Amateur League Premier Division is a regional Australian association football league comprising teams from Western Australia. The league sits at Level 4 on the Western Australian league system (Level 5 of the overall Australian league system). The competition is administered by Football West, the governing body of the sport in the state.

Format

The league operates with a promotion and relegation system, with relegation to the Amateur League Division 1, and potential for promotion to the State League Division 2 for the top team each year.

In 2020, promotion and relegation was suspended for the season, due to the impacts on the competition from the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia. [1]

Gwelup Croatia is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Gwelup in Perth, Western Australia, founded in 1988. Gwelup Croatia currently competes in the NPL Western Australia, with matches played at the Croatian Sporting Complex in Gwelup. They also compete in the Metropolitan League, Masters League, Ladies League, and in Juniors teams. The club regularly competes in the Australian-Croatian Soccer Tournament.

The National Premier Leagues (NPL) is a national association football competition in Australia which acts as the second tier of the sport in the country below the A-League. The NPL consists of the highest level state league in each state-based federation within Australia. In total the NPL is contested by clubs from eight divisions; these are ACT, NSW, Northern NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia. The overall premier for the new structure qualified for the National Premier Leagues finals series, competing with the other state federation champions in a final knockout tournament to decide the National Premier Leagues Champion for 2014.

The league competition was played amongst eight separate divisions, divided by FFA state and territory member federations. South West Phoenix Football Club is an Australian semi-professional association football club based in Bunbury, Western Australia. The club will compete in 2022 in the Football West State League Division 2.

The league competition was played amongst eight separate divisions, divided by FFA state and territory member federations. The divisions are ACT, NSW, Northern NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia.

Wanneroo City SC Football club

Wanneroo City Soccer Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Madeley in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The club currently competes in the Football West State League Division 2.

The 2016 Football West season was the third season under the new competition format in Western Australia. The overall premier for the new structure – Perth – qualified for the National Premier Leagues finals series, competing with the other Federation champions in a final knockout tournament to decide the National Premier Leagues Champion for 2016.

The 2017 Football West season was the fourth season under the new competition format in Western Australia. The NPL premier Bayswater City qualified for the National Premier Leagues finals series, and were eliminated at the quarter-final stage.

The 2018 Football West season was the fifth season under the current competition format in Western Australia. The NPL premiers Perth SC qualified for the National Premier Leagues finals series.

The 2019 Football West Season was the sixth season since the National Premier Leagues was established in Western Australia.
