Foster is a town in Garvin County, Oklahoma, United States. It was incorporated in 2002 [3] and had a population of 161 at the 2010 census. [4]
Foster is served by State Highway 29A, a spur of State Highway 29. A post office was first established at Foster on August 12, 1891. [5]
Foster is located in southwestern Garvin County. State Highway 29 follows the northern border of the town, leading east 5 miles (8 km) to Elmore City and west 18 miles (29 km) to Bray. State Highway 76 passes through the western part of the town, leading north 19 miles (31 km) to Lindsay and south 12 miles (19 km) to Ratliff City. Wynnewood is 21 miles (34 km) east of Foster via State Highway 29, and Pauls Valley, the Garvin County seat, is 22 miles (35 km) to the northeast via Highway 29 and Airline Road.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town of Foster has a total area of 16.0 square miles (41.5 km2), of which 15.9 square miles (41.3 km2) are land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km2), or 0.52%, is water. [4]

Garvin County is a county in south-central Oklahoma, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 25,656. Its county seat is Pauls Valley. In 1906, delegates to Constitution Convention formed Garvin County from part of the Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory. The county was named for Samuel J. Garvin, a local Chickasaw rancher, merchant and banker. Its economy is largely based on farming, ranching and oil production.
Hampton is a city in southwestern Henry County, Georgia, United States. The 2020 census was 8,368. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 6,987, up from 3,857 at the 2000 census. By 2018 the estimated population was 7,922. "Hampton" mailing addresses outside the city limits reach into rural parts of eastern Clayton County and northern Spalding County. It is a southeastern suburb in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

Located in what was then the Chickasaw Nation of Indian Territory, it began as a village called "Walner" in 1886, on the proposed route of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway. Railroad workers from Pennsylvania named the community for Wynnewood, a community outside of Philadelphia. The name became official on April 6, 1887.
