Fragments of a Lucky Break is a 1998 album by Trumans Water. [5] [6] The CD was released on the Emperor Jones label and the vinyl was released on the Infinite Chug label. It was their first album in several years to include Glen Galloway, who left the band in 1994 to form Soul-Junk. [2] [7]

Critical reception

AllMusic's Stephen Cramer called the album "some of [the band's] most inspired and cohesive work." [2] Portland Mercury deemed it a "modern classic," writing that it approaches "the raw materials of guitar rock with a cubist’s perspective, creating subtly complex structures full of impossible angles and complex formulas that miraculously balance out every time." [8]

Spanky and Our Gang was an American 1960s sunshine pop band led by Elaine "Spanky" McFarlane. Post-Britpop is an alternative rock subgenre and is the period in the late 1990s and early 2000s, following Britpop, when the media were identifying a "new generation" or "second wave" of guitar bands influenced by acts like Oasis and Blur, but with less overt British concerns in their lyrics and making more use of American rock and indie influences, as well as experimental music. The Hugs are an American indie pop and psychedelic garage rock band from Portland, Oregon, United States. Easy Livin (song) 1972 single by Uriah Heep

"Easy Livin'" is a song by the British rock band Uriah Heep, released as the second single from their 1972 album Demons and Wizards. The band also shot a basic music video for the song in 1972. It was the band's first hit in the United States and the only top 40 hit there, peaking at No. 39 on the Billboard Hot 100 in September 1972. The song's greatest success came in the Netherlands, where it reached No. 5, as well as reaching the Top 20 charts in Norway, Denmark, Finland and Germany. The song also peaked at No. 25 in Canada. In 1988, the band released a live version of the song, with new vocalist Bernie Shaw, as a UK single from the album Live in Moscow.

The Rocket Record Company

The Rocket Record Company was a record label founded by Elton John, along with Bernie Taupin, Gus Dudgeon, Steve Brown and others, in 1973. The company was named after the hit song "Rocket Man". The label was originally distributed in the UK by Island and in the US by MCA Records, both of which Elton John was also signed to.
