Frank Delgado (born November 29, 1970) is an American musician, best known as the keyboardist and turntablist for alternative metal band Deftones. [1]

Delgado came to the attention of Deftones as a member of the Sacramento-based hip hop group, Socialistik, a frequent opener for Deftones. He appeared as a guest performer on Deftones' first two albums, Adrenaline and Around the Fur , and was formally inaugurated into the group before their third release, White Pony .[ citation needed ]
His playing rarely features traditional scratching or beat juggling. Instead, he tends to use turntables as samplers to integrate subtle sounds and textures into the music. He prefers to create his own samples, rather than use prerecorded sample banks or borrow sounds from other artists.[ citation needed ]
Starting with the band's eponymous fourth album, Deftones , Delgado began to put more emphasis on keyboards and synthesizers.[ citation needed ]

They were formed by Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter (guitar), Abe Cunningham (drums), and Dominic Garcia (bass). During their first five years, the band's lineup changed several times, but stabilized in 1993 when Cunningham rejoined after his departure in 1990; by this time, Chi Cheng was bassist. The lineup remained stable for fifteen years, with the exception of keyboardist and turntablist Frank Delgado being added in 1999. The band's experimental nature has led some critics to describe them as "the Radiohead of metal".

Eros is the working title of an unreleased album by American alternative metal band Deftones, with tentative release dates in 2008 and 2009. The band spent time recording the album from April to November 2008 at The Spot in Los Angeles. The November 2008 car accident of bassist Chi Cheng forced the band to initially hold off on releasing the album, however, and they later shelved the album indefinitely in a creative decision to move forward. With Cheng in a coma, Deftones recruited former Quicksand bassist Sergio Vega and released Diamond Eyes instead in 2010. In the years that followed, the band has had mixed feelings about finishing and officially releasing Eros at some point down the road. The recording sessions of this album marked the first time in five years, since their self-titled fourth album, that Deftones had worked with Terry Date.
Aaron Harris is an American musician and composer, best known for his career as the drummer for Los Angeles-based post-metal band Isis. He was with the band from its inception in 1997 to its dissolution in 2010. Since Isis' demise, Harris has become increasingly involved in his career as a composer and producer. His composing work has appeared in projects for A24, Warner Bros., Universal, Disney, Lionsgate, Netflix, NBC, Red Bull and Samsung, among others. As a producer Harris has also worked on records for Palms, Puscifer, Team Sleep, Pelican, Zozobra, Spotlights, Huey, Jakob, The Jezabels and more.
Blackdiamondskye was a 2010 North American concert tour headlined by American rock band Alice in Chains featuring special guests Deftones and Mastodon. Blackdiamondskye is a portmanteau of the three band's then-most recent albums: Alice in Chains' Black Gives Way to Blue (2009), Deftones' Diamond Eyes (2010), and Mastodon's Crack the Skye (2009).
