Frederick "Freddie" Falcon is the official mascot of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons. He was Atlanta, Georgia's first mascot and has entertained fans for more than 35 years.

He is not to be confused with the namesake mascot of Bowling Green State University or that of the Fresno state, of the ECHL's Fresno Falcons.

T-Rac is the official mascot of the NFL's Tennessee Titans. He is a raccoon, the state animal of Tennessee. He debuted during the team's inaugural preseason home game in August 1999 against the Atlanta Falcons as the Titans, who were previously known as the Houston Oilers from 1960-1996 and the Tennessee Oilers from 1997-1998. He was first played by Pete Nelson, who played the character for 17 years before retiring from the position before the 2016 NFL season.

Patrick Gerrard Howell is a former American college and professional football player who was an offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons during the late 1970s and 1980s. Howell played college football at the University of Southern California, and was recognized as an All-American. A second-round pick in the 1979 NFL Draft, he played professionally for the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Oilers of the NFL.

Adam Jennings is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Fresno State.

The Salute 2 America Parade was an annual U.S. Independence Day parade held in Atlanta, Georgia each Fourth of July. The numeral in the name came from it being originally organized and broadcast by WSB-TV channel 2. For most of its run, the telecast of the parade lasted two hours but in the later years was cut back to 90 minutes. It was preceded by a pre-show of either 30 minutes or an hour. The event was the largest televised Independence Day parade in the country.

Freddie and Frieda Falcon are the mascots of Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. The pair are anthropomorphized peregrine falcons. They are somewhat of a rarity among collegiate mascots, being one of the few male-female mascot pairs in existence. In 2006 they were both named "Best Collegiate Mascot" at the 2006 NCA Cheer Camp in Nashville, Tennessee at Vanderbilt University.
