"Freedom" is a song by American singer and songwriter Kesha. It was released on July 4, 2024, by her own self-titled record label as the first track from her sixth studio album Period (2025). The song is the longest in her discography, beating out "Spaceship" from Rainbow (2017) by a minute and nine seconds. [2]
It is the only song on the album to feature Jonathan Wilson and Drew Erickson in either a producing or writing role.
The song received mostly positive reviews, with Rolling Stone has described the song as, "pointed, whirling through post-punk dance-floor raging and gospel-choir riffing while Kesha coolly yet saucily purrs carefree raps" [3] , with NME adding on, "she belts to the heavens until a jazzy disco bassline drops and she gets down to business."
