Gabriel Murphy (born October 13, 2000) is an American football linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at North Texas and UCLA.
Murphy attended Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas, Texas. He committed to the University of North Texas to play college football. [1]
Murphy played at North Texas from 2019 to 2021 as a linebacker and defensive end. [2] In three years he started 15 of 24 games, recording 73 tackles and 12 sacks. After the 2021 season, he entered the transfer portal. [3]
Murphy transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). [4] In his first year at UCLA in 2022, he started all 13 games and had 38 tackles and 1.5 sacks. In 2023, he again started all 13 games and had 38 tackles and eight sacks.

John Anthony Randle is an American former football defensive tackle who played eleven seasons for the Minnesota Vikings and three seasons for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He was a six-time first-team All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowler. Since becoming an official stat in 1982, his 137.5 sacks rank tenth, tied with Richard Dent, and first among defensive tackles. On February 6, 2010, he was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He played college football for the Trinity Valley Cardinals and the Texas A&I Javelinas, and was signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent after the 1990 NFL draft.
