Garnon Davies is a Welsh actor, best known for his television appearances.

Career

Davies was born in Pyle, near Bridgend, South Wales, [1] on 16 December 1982.[ citation needed ] He attended Ysgol Y ferch O'r Sger primary school and then went on to Welsh-speaking secondary school Ysgol Gyfun Llanhari. After a few years at that school he went on to study for his GCSEs and A-levels in Porthcawl Comprehensive School.

On leaving Porthcawl Comprehensive Davies attended the prestigious Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in Kensington, London where he trained as an actor for 3 years. Since leaving he has played many roles on TV and in theatre but is mostly known for his work in Channel 4's Hollyoaks where he played Elliot Bevan. Since leaving Channel 4's Hollyoaks, Davies has gone on to appearing in stage and screen productions. Working in Wales and on shows such as Doctors , Da Vinci's Demons and Holby City . [2] Garnon is an avid collector of antique chairs and has over 300 pieces.

In 2008, he participated in a campaign held by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. [3] [4]

In 2014, Davies took the role of Charlie in an Afternoon Drama , titled Atlas, on BBC Radio 4. The episode was broadcast on 15 December 2014. [5] [6]

Personal life

In 2008, Davies revealed in an interview with Laura-Jayne Tyler from Inside Soap that he is gay. [7] [8]

Davies has been working at drama school Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts since 2019 where he teaches acting and musical theatre. [9]

Amy Barnes is a fictional character from the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Ashley Slanina-Davies. She debuted on-screen during the episode airing on 2 January 2006. Amy was created by executive producer David Hanson and Slanina-Davies was offered the role whilst looking for work as an extra. In 2009, Slanina-Davies stated that she would be lost without the role and confirmed her loyalty to the serial. In July 2010, it was announced that Slanina-Davies would be leaving the show. However, it was later revealed that she was back filming and staying in the serial in 2011. Amy's storylines have included underage pregnancy which resulted in the birth of daughter Leah Barnes and the subject of domestic abuse in her relationship with Ste Hay, portrayed by Kieron Richardson. Whilst filming the storyline, Slanina-Davies cut her long hair off for charity and this was scripted into the storyline.

Elliot was introduced into the series as a new student character. In July 2010, it was announced that Davies had decided to leave the show. Elliot made his final appearance during the episode broadcast on 15 November 2010. Elliot's storylines included a relationship with his friend Sarah Barnes and finding his long-lost father.

Bryan Kirkwood is a British television producer. He was the producer of the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks from 2006 until 2009 and was the executive producer of the BBC soap EastEnders from 2010 until 2012. He returned as the executive producer of Hollyoaks in late 2012, before leaving again in March 2021. His final episodes aired in June of that year. In 2022, he returned to EastEnders as a writer.

Natalie Gumede is an English actress. She is known for playing Kirsty Soames in the ITV soap opera, Coronation Street, from 2011 to 2013. She previously played China in BBC Three comedy show Ideal. She has also appeared in The Persuasionists, Emmerdale and Doctor Who among other television shows. Gumede was also runner-up in the 2013 series of Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One. From 2017 to 2019, Gumede began appearing in Netflix original Free Rein as Maggie Steel Phillips.

Hollyoaks began airing on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom on 23 October 1995. The show targeted teenagers and initially dramatised the lives of seven teenagers living in Hollyoaks, a fictional suburb in the city of Chester in Cheshire, England.

Jennifer Brooke is a British actress. From 2012 to 2015, she studied at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Acting. Whilst she was there she performed in various Italia Conti plays, including their adaptations of The Acid Test, Richard III and A View from the Bridge. In 2015, Brooke did a voice-over for the short film Two Sides, and that October she began airing as series regular Rachel Hardy on the British soap opera Hollyoaks. Brooke last appeared as Rachel in March 2016, when the character was killed-off. Brooke has also appeared in the films My Name Is Lenny (2017), Astral (2018) and The Last Letter from Your Lover (2021), in addition to short films and commercials. She also played the recurring role of Donna in White Gold and guest-starred in Call the Midwife, and portrayed Rebecca Harrison in the play "A Gym Thing" at The Pleasance theatre. In addition to acting, Brooke is an acting teacher for children and in 2020 she launched B.O.S.S Acting School with Samantha Shaw, which led to them being nominated for "Young Entrepreneur of the year" at 2021 the Club Hub Awards.
